sparkys2boys wrote: I bake bigtime.. so far since our news(on another thread) I have made muffins, two kinds of cookies, jello for the kids, and am getting ready to make biscuits. I think it just keeps me busy and not thinking so much. What do you do to deal with your stress.. and I don't mean the little daily things, I mean the big stuff that doesn't happn alot???
Calimama replied: Clean, curl up in my reading chair and cry.
TheOaf66 replied: hmmm well used to smoke so I guess now I usually try to relax with the PS2, have not found a new outlet as of yet so a lot of times it just builds up
Boo&BugsMom replied: Beat up my husband. Just kidding.
I find singing helps me relieve stress big time. It's such a huge stress reliever when I sing with the band at church. I look forward to it every month.
I love playing the piano to relieve stress too, but we currently don't have one in our home.
I guess you could say music is my stress reliever. Either that, or just plain crying.
ediep replied: cry or eat
stella6979 replied: I'll either shoot some hoops out back or head off to the firing range.
holley79 replied: Usually on the big stuff I will go to the park and walk around the track just to get my mind off things. Before I had Annika (and pre hurricane Ivan) I would drive out to the beach to the third parking lot out. I would go sit on the beach and just think of a positive for each negative.
C&K*s Mommie replied: Sit, and think when I can. But refocus on the positives. Also I pray.
Boo&BugsMom replied: How could I forget that one!
lesliesmom replied: Now I am trying to pray more... but when the big stuff hits and I can't deal with it, I turn the shower on nice and hot, get in, sit down and cry....
I also get the baking mojo going too but when things like that hit I like to be by myself to sort things out ... but if I do get the mojo going and start baking having them there to "help" certainly gets things off my mind quick.
gr33n3y3z replied: thats a hard one for me First I yell at the cause of the stress then I either listen to music or play some games and take the rest out of what ever I'm playing
boyohboyohboy replied: eat eat and eat....
JadensMama05 replied: I cry.. a LOT. I cry everyday, it's a wonderful stress reliever for me.
As a teenager and in my preMommy days, I broke glass objects, cut myself... I've learned better by now, but I still get lotsa urges to break things...
