it's SO cold that... - school was cancelled

PrairieMom replied: That got your school canceled? They just make the kids have indoor recess when it is that cold here. Its been that cold all week. Its lovely getting kids in and out of car seats when we go out. Brrrrrrrrrrrr. Come on spring!

Our wind chill brought us to -14 degrees F so not much wind.

Its 58 degrees F here right now. And we are all complaining about how cold it is. Yesterday it was 76 F.

lesliesmom replied: Our weather was running about 10F above average. That is until this weekend. Now we've dropped. This morning was about 5F (with windchill). To me that's just too cold. I couldn't imagine living in Canada (or even the upper peninsula of Michigan - my SD lives there). I'm still trying to warm up and I've been in my office for 45 minutes now with a heater on high.

Robbie's wasn't canceled and it's -23 here and the wind is horrid. I can't believe how suddenly the Eastern provinces butt whooped.

0-5. This is the coldest it has been this winter! Last week the temps were in the 50's and 60's. Unbelieveable!! Esther's school was freezing! The heat was not working! I was ticked, that they didn't do anything about it.

I lived in the UP of Michigan for almost 6 years. Where I was, it didnt get as cold as it gets here in Milwaukee, by the lake. The wind is so cold that it makes my eyeballs and skin hurt. I hate being cold. Someday I'm gonna live somewhere warm.

Kentuckychick replied: ICK!!! It was 30 degrees F here in Kentucky yesterday afternoon and I like a baby because I had to return to classes!!

However, in my defense I have had the flu since last friday. It is NOT fun walking around campus in the cold with a lung busting cough and an already runny nose
Not too mention I'm there from 9 am - 9 pm with one two hour break, and by the time I was finally finished, my head was splitting, I still had to drive the 45 minutes home, it had dropped to 24F and my car door was FROZEN shut!!

But I... I am not bitter... nope, not me
