kids..left hand/right hand
mummy2girls wrote: Jenna i found uses her Left hand when she eats... and colors as well. I think i have a lefty!
Insanemomof3 replied: I am not real sure yet, but Tristan seems to favor his left, and Demetri his right. SO I chose both. LOL
mckayleesmom replied: Im going to say Right,,,cause she colors and stuff with her right,,,,but she eats holding a fork in her left....maybe shes not sure which one she likes yet...
danahas4monkeys replied: well the older 2 are total righties like me and my ex now the younger two are lefties, but can also do some things right handed their daddy was lefthanded as a small child but his parents forced him to be right handed, so now he is but most of my husbands family is left handed even his younger sister , his mother realized she made a mistake forcing him to be righthanded. alexis (our 3 yr old) does some things with the right but for coloring or eating she usually uses her left hand, and andrew the baby (well he is 15mths so not quite the baby anymore) he will do both but favors the left hand alot!

jacobsmama replied: Well...jacob is 17 months old and he does e verything with his left hand, eating, playing, throwing, writing so I think he is going to be a lefty! We are all right handed so we will have to figure it out!
MommyToAshley replied: Ashely will usually reach for stuff with her left hand and eat with her left hand. We only have a right handed mouse so she will use her right when on the computer. But the other day, she had a crayon in each hand and was writing her name. She would write one letter with the left and the next letter with the right. So maybe she will be ambidextrous??? I think she tends to favor her left though.
MomToJade&Jordan replied: Jade's a righty. She does everything with that hand.
A&A'smommy replied: I think Alyssa is right handed she tends to use it more when she is eating and coloring but she SOMETIMES uses her left hand
luvbug00 replied: Mya uses her right hand. I just made her write her name.
amymom replied: My son is a rightie and my daughter is a lefty so I said both. My daughter uses a mitt for a right handed person (she's our jock) she bats lefty, plays hockey lefty can shoot and dribble in Basketball either hand, but catches and throws a baseball like a righty. There are other things she will use the right handed with. We have left handed scissors and mouses but she prefers the right. It really is a righthanded world.
BTW Dee Dee- the mouse is just a matter of changing something on the control panel if you have windows. I could look up the exact instructions if you need me to, but we used to do it all the time for my daughter, but I found out that for 3 years at school she has been using a righthanded mouse so she has gotten used to it. I checked for scissors and desks and other things but forgot the computer. You need to keep on the schools if you end up with a lefty to be sure they provide what is needed. Sorry that should be another thread!!!
MommyToAshley replied: The mouse itself is shaped for a right-handed person. She seems to do fine with it, but maybe I should look into gettting one that is geared for lefties.
Thanks for the tips, I will be sure to keep that in mind when she starts school.
iluvmysweetiepies replied: I voted right. Alexia & Brooke are too young to tell, but all three older girls use their right hand.
MM'sMama replied: Brice is right...But DH and I are both lefties
maestra replied: Jaci is a lefty- has been ever since she was a baby- she uses her right, but only if she can't use the left.
Boys r us replied: Tanner is defintiely right handed. Brae we wondered about for sometime..bc he would use both, but now that he's really beginning to write and so forth, it's pretty apparent that he's a right handed boy!
3xsthefun replied: Kaitlynn is a righty. Maegan she is a lefty least we think so, she uses it alot when she eats or colors.
mammag replied: All of my kids are right handed.
ions_momma replied: Ion is a righty but I have noticed him using his left hand when he is playing sports sometimes. He throws the baseball with his left hand sometimes and dribbles the basketball with his left sometimes too!!
MissyKay2005 replied: Brandon is deffinatly right handed. We will see what this littel one will be.
redchief replied: Hard to believe that through human history lefties have been called deficient, even retarded. Lefties have been associated with witchcraft and other nonsense. Horray for the lefties of the world. Keep all us boring righties straight!
Josie83 replied:
I am almost positive that this is not something that is genetically inherited . . . but not 1005
Cassie is right handed xx
coasterqueen replied: I'm left-handed but use a right handed mouse. I use my right hand when doing it.
I remember as a child in school being left-handed was so not good. You were made to think you were a freak. Anyways, I am left-handed but cut/use right-handed scissors. THe teacher was so cruel to me telling me I HAD to use left-handed scissors and I couldn't figure out how to use them.
Maybe Ashley will just use her right for certain things. I only use my right for the mouse and scissors .
coasterqueen replied: I'm going to take a stab and say Kylie will be left-handed. I had read several places that right-handers are decided by the age of 2 and it takes a left-handed child to completely decide til they are 5 years of age. So since she's still using both and not decided I'm guessing she'll be left.
Now all I need to do is get Megan to be left-handed and we'll have a perfect family. All left-handers!
lisar replied: I was told to roll a ball at them and which ever foot they use to kick it with they will be left or right. It was true with lexi she is a righty. But I dont know how accurate the ball thing is.
