mom just called.... - (wedding related)
luvbug00 wrote: My mom just called me durring my writing of my last post and asked me if I wanted to hire latin dancers to teach dancing durring my reception... how about, NO ! how cheesey is that! hello about 30% of my guests already know how to dance and are latin! Most of her input has made this wedding beautiful but seriously! Plus I don't even want latin music played anyway. Brad hates it and I don't want to hear it.
SO I take a vote ( can't work the poll thing yet )
Latin dancers?
YEAH or NEIGH???
C&K*s Mommie replied: If you & Brad say NO!I would agree with you two. It is your wedding and your memories, so NO!
Maddie&EthansMom replied: I say NO! Although I'd love to learn...just not at a wedding.
MyLuvBugs replied: I vote NO. THat does sounds a bit tacky. Sorry.
kayla's mama replied: If you and Brad don't want it then say NO.
Hillbilly Housewife replied: No for the teaching - however I think it would be something neat to watch a choreography or something to entertain the guests while they await your arrival to the reception.... that way Brad doesn't have to hear it - and your mom's idea is mostly included!
fashionmumofboys replied: If the both of you don't want it, then just say NO in a nicely manner.
A&A'smommy replied: I say no especially since you don't really want it anyway!!
C&K*s Mommie replied: Now that I read it, Rocky's idea is a good one. I still say no to the reception itself having it taught. But waiting for the arrival of the bride & groom can get boring. ((sorry but it does)) I would say consider that, having it at the pre-reception.
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Ditto!
CantWait replied: If most of the couples attending know how to dance to it, then I say NAW!!! If latin music was playing I'm sure there would be enough people to show the non dancers what to do. You always seemed so proud of your latin roots, may I ask why you don't want latin music played? Either way, you're picking the music, and if there's no latin music, there can't be any latin dance KWIM
luvbug00 replied: Oh I'm proud to be latina but the music doesn't suit the theme i'm trying to go for. Everything we are doing is very 1930'- 50's and so we will stick a few current hits in there but the latin music is just somthing i don't want to do. We do have many vintage ethnic tuches going on but I think the music would just clash with my picture of how I want the abiance to be.
PhiMuMommy replied: it's your wedding if you don't want it don't do it.
CantWait replied: Got ya!!
