what kind of music does one use for an enterance?? you used what???
(btw not using " here comes the bride".. little known fact the dude who wrote that ditty was antisemetic and so i will not use it! we also have Jewish family memebrs.)
mckayleesmom replied: Well...we went to Las Vegas, but anyways....the melody that I had always wanted to use was the theme from St. Elmos Fire.........the chorus part of it is where I would walk in. I didn't want the Here comes the bride bla either. Find the cd and listen to it....its beautiful....I will have to find the name of it. BRB
TheOaf66 replied: hmmm, I can help you with the reception but not the ceremony
luvbug00 replied:

mckayleesmom replied: The song is called
Love theme from St. Elmo's Fire.......there is a vocal version and an instrumental version....Im talking about the instrumental....its so pretty.
luvmykids replied: There are a ton of "wedding music" cd's that are either beautiful instrumentals of classical type songs, or there is a pianist I love named George Winston who also has cd's, I walked in to Pachalbels Canon in D or something close to that, for some reason I'm having trouble remembering!
C&K*s Mommie replied: We used Canon in D (score by Johann Pachelbel). We waited a few seconds during the first few notes, until it changed to start walking.
One note is that you can find it in a variety of form, from guitar to saxophone, to piano. Instead of paying to use it for a few seconds, I borrowed it from our library in Tallahassee. Here is a link to listen to it in that variety of form. Canon in D
Our Lil' Family replied: I walked in to a trumpeteer playing Trumpet Voluntary, they have it on CD to I'm sure though.
There's Canon in D that is popular, also Jesu, Joy of Man's Desire or something like that..... Funny that you mention this because my bf, getting married in August, just sent me this link to listen to the music to help her choose.
LINK FOR WEDDING MUSIC
luvbug00 replied: cute link. will help with ressional! thanks!
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: We used Canon in D too...it always makes me cry. I actually had a two-piece string quartet...I think a flutist and a cello (I guess that wouldn't be strings exactly)...gosh I can't remember now! Maybe it was a violinist! Not sure. They were behind a screen, so I actually never even saw them!!! But it was really pretty!
~~*Missi*~~ replied: i used enya only time......
MyLuvBugs replied: Wow! I had to go and look this up...
The brides maids and I walked down to the same song, but the doors opened for me at the climax of the song...
Rondeau by Marais
Halo42101 replied: Okay, now, I know it's just a Soap but in one of my Soaps, the couple who was getting married really loved oldies music. So, instead of wearing the traditional white wedding gown, the character wore a poodle skirt and did the twist down the aisle to her fiance.' I'll never forget that scene with them. It was great!
