my doc appointment

abunky wrote: ok...this is hard for me to type....i had my appointment at 8 this morning , the blood work showed i had an infection not sure from were ,but they gave me antibiotics , they did another US and they couldnt find the babys heart beat, they looked and looked for 20 min , and there was nothing , so becsause they want to see if it aborts it self ,if not friday morning at 10 i go in for a D&C procedure...so i wont be joining you girls this november , but i know one day i will have a chance again....

mommy~to~a~bunch replied: I am so sorry!! I would wait a few days/a week and demand another U/S, just to make sure. If you are only 6-7 weeks, that is really early to see on an U/S.

Crystalina replied: I'm so so sorry! I would wait as long as possible. Did they do a vaginal us? I know that is just about the only way to find a heartbeat at 5.5 to 6.5 weeks. It isn't until about 7 weeks it can be picked up on the doppler. I'm sure your doctor knows what he/she is doing though. I'm sorry hon.

I would request another ultrasound in a week or so just to be sure. Even with a vaginal ultrasound, there is a chance that a heartbeat would not be seen at this early in a pregnancy.
