I cant be without a computer, hummmm I also could use a notebook for work related things......so what did I do? yep bought a notebook. so am I crazy or what?
now the question can I write some or all of it off next year on my taxes.....
MommyToAshley replied: What kind did you get? Did you get the same laptop as Dave, Rod and I... well, and the rest of the gang?
As for writing it off, I am not sure how it works if you are not self-employed. We can write ours off, but we can only deduct the portion that we use for business. For example, if we use it 50% for personal use and 50% for business, then we can write off 50% of it. I know that you can write the full amount (of the portion that you can write off for business) and don't have to amortize it over time for up to $20,000 in capital equipment (it might be even more than that, I forget the exact amount).
Just a side note, computer equipment and cameras are a flag for auditors so be sure you have documentation to back up your usage.
Kaitlin'smom replied: NO I did not get the same as you all, I persoanly dont like the looks of thoes. I got an HP. I have not had much time to mess with it DH spent last night de-bloating it.
MommyToAshley replied: It's what's on the inside, not the outside, that matters.
Congrats on your new HP! Rod had an HP that he really liked, they're good machines too. I hope Dave is done playing with yours soon so you can enjoy it.
Kaitlin'smom replied: ya I know but since I have to look and use it all the time I would rather not look at orange all the time, plus I dont want to be called a copy cat He thinks its all there I just have to play around with it and see if he missed anything.
thanks I had it down to 2 and ended up with this one, and then we found out it was on sale even got a new wireless mouse with it, cause I cant stand using the ones on the notebooks.....
MommyToAshley replied: I think it is suppose to be copper trim. I don't care for the trim either, but I can live with it since you can't beat the price for that processor and video card.
Sounds like you got a good deal too. I'm like you, I don't like using the touch pads on laptops, I have to have a mouse.
Kaitlin'smom replied: that was a great price, but since I am not a gamer I did not need that. Deffinaly would have considered it if I needed it for gaming.....
coasterqueen replied: I love laptops!!! I can't stand desktops anymore. Too confining. I've got an HP laptop here at work that I work on every day and i love it. Congrats.
Teesa®© replied: Could you not use a modeling paint to paint it a different colour? Heck, I'd probably try nail polish
Kaitlin'smom replied: I dont think that would work, its the lights for some of the keys
oh and I have something the groups laptops dont....
grapfruit replied: Ah, I hope it's not something going around! First Chastity's and then yours.... Hope my computer is safe.... J/K
computers biting the dust stinks. Glad you were able to get something you liked!
Kaitlin'smom replied: LOL naw mine was long time comming, I knew it woudl happen....hers well she has some kinda virus.
Maddie&EthansMom replied: I never use my desktop anymore. I love my laptop...it's an HP, too.
