my poor baby - ouchie

The poor thing was screaming his head off, and only after he stopped crying did I realize the damage. His lip was bleeding and huge, his nose scratched, and when I was finally able to open his mouth to look at his teeth, his gums above his top teeth were all bruised. I called the doc, luckily the pediatrician has late hours, and took him in. He said he might have killed the tooth, so it might be discolored until it falls out when hes older. I just feel so bad for him. And despite all this, he came home and was giggling and playing and in a good mood. I have a feeling he'll be sore in the morning.

~Roo'sMama~ replied: Aww poor guy! That sounds awful. I'm glad you were able to get him into the ped ~ and having his tooth fall out won't be so bad. At least it wasnt a permanent tooth!

huggybugboy replied: I don't think it will fall out until its supposed to. At least thats the impression I got from the doc. I hope not! He just got those teeth!

Aww that is sad. My nieces two front teeth were discolored until they fell out too - I don't remember why but they were almost blue.

Maybe his won't change color - at least not right away and you can enjoy his new pearly whites for a bit longer!

dizzytizzy replied: I hope he's okay poor guy and don't worry about the tooth my son managed to kill one of his front teeth and it's just a horrible grey colour but it is still firmly in place.

Had to have words with his teacher at school though after she made some comment to him about his tooth being rotten I put her straight as soon as possible it wasn't bad tooth care but he was silly enough to fall flat on his face running down a hill.

luvmykids replied: Poor baby! Colt did a face plant on a cement patio and same kinda thing. It's so sad when they get hurt! Hope he's doing better today.

jacobsmama replied: ohhhh poor baby!!! My nephew hit his tooth some how about 6 months ago it is discolored but it isn't falling out or loose and you really can't tell. So I hope he gets feeling better and I think he will be just fine!
