new milestone

Kaitlin is now in a toddler bed, yep last ngiht we took off the front of her crib to make her toddler/daybed. She LOVED it. I was worried she might fall out (even though she naps in a reg bed at the sitters) so I put our big floor pillows down, well when I went to peek in on her she was curled up in a bunch of pillows (this girl LOVES pillows) wel later I put her in her bed and she slept all night in in no problems at all She is grow up way to fast.

What made you decide to change it? Was she trying to climb out or did you just feel like it was the right time? Just being nosey

her not wanting to go to bed at a decent time for 2 weeks, I had told DH to go ahead and try it (while I was working nights at the theatre) but he was unsure so we were playing in her room and he was looking at it and we asked her if she wanted to sleep in her big girl bed and she got excited and said crib for baby. So we took it off and she has been going to bed easier and all my worries of her getting up to play or banging on the door well so far she has not done this, infact I think she might be sleeping better. She does like the big pillows on the floor by her bed, she likes to curl up on them She sneeks down to them after I leave and goes to sleep, so when I peek in on her I move her back to her bed then she is fine all night.

I am happy we did this she is really learing to sleep different places which will help when we go on vacation or to MIL

We still haven't made that transition.

DansMom replied: Yay Kaitlin!! I guess she was ready for the big move. I know another little girl who would end up on the floor at some point. She would take her little blankie and move to the floor at some time during the night. I think she stopped after a while.

I put pillows on the floor next to Daniel's bed too. I remember rolling out of bed when I was 3 years old!
