ok, let's play a game - of would you rather

cameragirl21 wrote: here's how the game goes--someone asks a question of would you rather and offers 2 possibilities and then someone else answers and asks their own would you question. i must really be feeling philosophical these days...you can see it in my posts. wink.gif
ok, i'll start--would you rather run into a full grown bear in the woods or run into a large shark in the ocean?
btw, when you answer each question, please state why.

mom2my2cuties replied: Shark in the Ocean - One punch in the nose and you have a chance to get away while the shark is stunned...I can't outrun a bear smile.gif (Acutally I should probabaly pick a bear since I can't swim and shouldn't be in the ocean anyhow smile.gif )

Would you rather know you were dying or have it happen suddenly?

cameragirl21 replied: wow, that's an intense question...it stopped me dead in my tracks.
i'd say suddenly...after all the time i've spent with the terminally ill, i've come to the conclusion that all the preparing, waiting and dragging it out makes it worse than the dying itself.
would you rather go into the past and meet one of your deceased relatives that you never met or never knew well (let's say they passed away when you were a baby) or go into the future and meet one of your great great grandchildren that will be born over 100 years from now?

sparkys2boys replied: wow.. good post!!! Answer to the last post, I would rather go into the futur then into the past! The reason, you always have to wonder what the futur will bring, good or bad. ok, next one... and its kinda morbid..lol. Would u rather die in a fire or from drowing? As crazy as it sounds I think about this all the time.

1lilpeanut2love replied: I would rather die in a fire.... I wouldn't want to drown because I hate being under water for a long time and it would probably take longer sad.gif bawling.gif

Would you rather be too fat or too skinny??? blush.gif

mom2my2cuties replied: I would rather be too fat - Being "super skinny" makes you look like you are dying.

Would you rather be extremely rich or would you rather live within normal means (not poor but not rich either)

Simplebeliever replied:
Is there some sort of catch to this question? I'd rather be extremely rich unless my happiness or family was some how affected. ETA: Not to sound wrapped up in material possession & wealth, but I'd love to be rich and not worry about things like paying for daughter to go to school or my future retirement.

BTW (glad we got off the morbidness)

Which super power would you rather: The ability to read minds or fly like a bird?

TANNER'S MOM replied: I would want to read minds..as the mother of a teenager it would but I could see where it would hurt alot too.

I am afraid of heights.

If you were adopted would you want to know yes or no?

luvbug00 replied: I was adopted, and I would have wanted to know tongue.gif ( funny how i came in just now aint it!)

umm would you rather go with your spouse on a trip in a land far away or make your own trip in the comfort of your own home with no kids there??

cameragirl21 replied: definitely a far away land, i love adventure and exploring new things.
ok, strange question but give this one some thought--would you rather meet an angel or conquer a demon?

1lilpeanut2love replied: Meet an Angel most definitely! I wish I could see my Mom come back to me as an angel. I have never encountered her and sometimes wish I could. I miss her SO much!! wub.gif

Sorry ETA: Would you rather die alone or with others by your side?

gr33n3y3z replied: alone bc I dont want ppl. to see me like that

would you face your fear stright on or keep running from it

cameragirl21 replied: others by my side because i'd hate to feel alone when i'm dying.
would you rather be a lion for a day and rule the jungle or be a sea turtle that gets to explore depths of the ocean that a human can't but knowing you could be someone's prey that day and never return...whereas a lion is no one's prey?
ETA--sorry, Lisa, i didn't see your question--i'd like to face my fear but my fear is a fear of heights so i've been wanting to go skydiving to face it but so far i've got my feet planted on the ground, so i guess the answer is i'd like to face my fear but in reality i keep running from it.

my2monkeyboys replied: I think the lion... running so free would be an awesome high. Being the turtle would be nice, but who wants to look out for others trying to eat you all day?

ETA: Would you rather be the perfect parent or the perfect wife/husband?

ZandersMama replied: Definitely the perfect parent. Hubbys a big boy he can take care of himself.

Would you rather live a normal life span or be immortal?

cameragirl21 replied: i would say normal lifespan because i would be sad watching others die and knowing i'll never be with them again. the immortality thing would appeal to me not so much because i'd never die per se but rather because if you know you can't die then there's no fear and i'd be able to go on more adventures without a care in the world. i think i'd pick the immortality if it were just for year like if someone could guarantee that i could do anything for a year and not die as a result but otherwise i'd choose the normal life span.
ok, would you rather go back to your childhood knowing what you know now and thereby being able to change anything and everything OR be one of your children, as innocent as they are toay and live out their childhood?

C&K*s Mommie replied:
In my head I answered that I would go back for a re-do and erase past mistakes. But at the same time I would want to be here to witness my girls grow, to laugh and to be innocent as they are. I do not wish to live their lives for them, but through them I can live and re-do mistakes vicariously. So for my answer it would be a split between the two; I am redoing some mistakes from the past by being a dedicated mother to my girls in the present. Make sense? blush.gif

cameragirl21 replied:
that makes perfect sense, Nicole, but if you were to go back you'd still get to raise your girls when you grow up, assuming your future or in this case present would still be the same after you changed things from your past...that's kind of the catch, you get to go back and fix everything you think you did wrong but it wouldn't necessarily lead you to where you are now, kwim?
do you have a would you rather question you'd like to ask the board?
