ok, now list your - childhood pet

cameragirl21 wrote: i had only one childhood pet so it's easy for me, if you had many then maybe list your favorite one.
mine was a german shepherd, gorgeous black with sable coloring and of champion bloodlines...we got him at the age of 6 weeks from a breeder when i was ten. his name was Benz, since, you know he was a german shepherd and mercedes benz is a german car. and yep, it was me who named him. he died 12 years later, actually had to be put down because of hip problems and he couldn't get up anymore. german shepherds are prone to hip problems but generally only live to 12 or so anyway.
i loved that dog more than anything in the world when i was little!
what was your childhood pet?

Kaitlin'smom replied: sad.gif fish sad.gif

ps they were not a favorite

Boo&BugsMom replied: We had 3 different Beagles...Skeeter, Casey, and now my parents have Muffin.
I have also had:
*fish...too many to list
*2 turtles
*3 rats...Cassie, Tesi, and......can't remember the other one's name
*a mouse...Minnie (I know, it's so original)
*a dwarf hamster...Rizzo
*a bunny...Fuzz Bucket

I loved having rats. Now I'm allergic. sad.gif I also loved having dogs growing up. I loved all my animals, but those were my favorites.

gr33n3y3z replied: I grew up with German Shepherds and I had 3 guinea pigs and hamsters

MyBrownEyedBoy replied: I had two gray tabby cats, Maggie and Missy (aka the Beast). They were both very fat and well loved and lived into their late teens. And we got a dog my senior year of high school. She was supposed to be mine and I was supposed to take her as soon as I moved into a place that allowed dogs, but my mom fell in love. And Toto loves my mom too much too.

MyBrownEyedBoy replied: ETA, a guinea pig named Sir Gwinn and two gerbils named Fred and Theresa (they never had babies, not for lack of trying, though)

JadensMama05 replied: The first pet I had as a kid that was all mine was an orange tabby named Omry. He got hit by a car and the dumb *beep* that hit him waited like 2 hours to tell me..... I coulda saved his life had I known

CantWait replied: The first I can remember:

We had mice (they were more my brother's)
We had fish
Frogs that I caught at the park as tadpoles
Birds
and the one we had the longest was our cat "Beast"

redchief replied: Nutsy, a prolific beagle, Heinz 57 mutt. Most fun pet I ever had, but he liked to roll in dog poo.

Kentuckychick replied: Wow... I had quite a few... here goes

1 Dog - a Siberian Husky (Nikki)

2 Birds - "Birdie" yeah... original and we never named the second one because he was mean

2 Gerbils - Harry & Bravestar... they were both supposed to be boys and we thought they were until Bravestar had babies huh.gif She had 2 litters that didn't make it and then a litter of 6 that did... we took them to the store though

1 Rabbit - Caddie (after the Cadbury bunny)

1 Ferret - Max (aka; max-roy-allen... don't ask!)

3 Hamsters - Chum, Sisqo, and my 21st birthday present "Tequila" tongue.gif

MoonMama replied: My first pet was a cat named Licorice. wub.gif I loved that kitty, but she got really sick and had to be put down I was so heartbroken. bawling.gif

3xsthefun replied: Well since I had quite a few pets growing up. I will just pick two.

I would say my first was my cat named Patches, she was a calico.

My second favorite was a Chow named Boo.

DillsMommy replied: We had a cat named "miss kitty" I had when I was about 4 and another cat named "tigger" I got in 6th grade and we still have him! And a golden retriever named "ginger" That's all I can remember.

redplaydoh replied: I had a terrier mix chihuahua named Tinker. He was not the yippy trembling type, he was fiercly independent, even insisting on sleeping outside (in our garage) year round. He was with us for 15 years before he just got too old and crippled and my mom had to put him down.
