stemming from that post...i went TOTALY against the poll.

#2 is what i ordered....i think it fits her better and she wont be worried about: damaging it, hurting kyan, and she doesnt like expensive jewelry with flashy diamonds....she even said the engagement ring was bigger than she ever wanted.

PLUS PLUS PLUS

when i found out how much it retails for....i couldnt pass it up. it retails between $200-250.....and i got it for $15.50 on ebay from a wholesaler. guy has all auctions with no reserve and with 2 seconds left i bid and won. partydance.gif

hope yall dont think im a cheapskate......i think i made a great deal

edit - oh yea item is brand new!

amymom replied:

J-rod replied:

Our Lil' Family replied: I think she meant, sounds like you got a great deal!

I know I think you did...that's super. I can't ever find deals like that on Ebay!

Hillbilly Housewife replied:
lol! I think she meant "sounds like a great deal!"

Eep!

My dh bought me a ring off E-bay a couple years ago... our first born, our son, is also born in August... so my ring is 3 little flowers, all tiny diamonds and peridots... he bought it for 85$ but it retailed over 350$. I love it! I'm sure she will too...Ebay has awesome stuff!!!!!

lisar replied: I agree with going on e-bay. I love that place. I am on there all the time. I hope she likes it.

luvmykids replied: thumb.gif She'll love it and you definitely can't beat an ebay deal!

moped replied: Oh yeah- she will love it!

Sweet price too - WOW....can you find me some deals like that on ebay pleasE?

J-rod replied:
what are you looking for? smile.gif

i didnt know this thing retailed so high until i found it on amazon after i was watching it on ebay

Kaitlin'smom replied: WOOO HOOO great deal, I do like the ring also. Its honestly not how much you spend either, I have found great deal on stuff, I hardly ever pay retail, besides I can get more stuff if I bargan hunt. Good job

MyLuvBugs replied: Gotta love ebay sometimes!! smile.gif Congrats!

J-rod replied:
thats my idea...we set spending limits...and the bigger deals i get the more/better gifts i can get.

plus how can i ever get a gift to match the tickets she got us. wub.gif

redchief replied: J-Rod, you went with my choice. I suppose your DW is a lot like Lisa. Not real big on flashy stuff, conservative is best?

Wanted to add, a guy can't beat having a wife that doesn't like diamonds. laugh.gif

CantWait replied: Great Job, she's going to love it. wub.gif

J-rod replied:
she is she is.

its a good thing too....i was looking at $$$$ engagement rings...and she said something to the fact that she'd kill me if i paid that much and got something that big and flashy.

mom2my2cuties replied: I can't open the link smile.gif I am not much of a diamond person either. They are pretty in small amounts - but a "big rock" isnt my thing. I think they are better as accent pieces.

Anyway - you did get a GREAT deal! Andrew & I do the same thing most every year - We set a limit (normally I go over) but we do. He gets great gifts. Last year he got me a $900 necklace on Overstock for $30

J-rod replied: here is the ring i went with

Boo&BugsMom replied:
emlaugh.gif I think she meant you made a great deal too.

redchief replied: What's wrong with being a cheapskate?
