pisces, pisces, where art though, pisces? - and scorpio....

as to the scorpio, before anyone asks, yes the scorpion is real, yes it's alive and yes, it's awake...the child however was not in any danger as there are animal experts and reptile handlers literally just one inch outside the picture, taking the scorpion off of her and putting it back on as we were shooting...the pic is taken under very controlled conditions, as are all my pics for publication.
incidentally, i believed that my scorpio and leo would be the most interesting due to the nature of the animals involved but it turns out that so far, my pisces and gemini seem to be the most interesting, go figure.





sorry if the watermarks are distracting, i decided to start watermarking my pix that i post here because it occurred to me that it's insane to just post my pics on the web without any affirmation of ownership and copyright.

Do you work like a normal photographer, like do the parents come to you wanting pictures done? Or do you only take certain people in?

as to your question--for portraits they come to me, for modeling i only take certain kids.
oh, and no, the girl with scorpion was not scared, in fact, she named the scorpion and wanted to keep it as a pet.

CantWait replied: I love the first photo. In the second one, her legs look kinda funny being underwater, can't describe it, but the first one is very striking.

As for Scorpio, she's looks very comfortable with the Scorpian.

holley79 replied: Well being a Pisces I LOVE the very first one. For some reason the reflection on the water of the second one takes away from the girl/ water/ fish. (If this makes sense. She is beautiful and her eyes are STUNNING. The girl in the scorpion picture is just precious also.

Holley, somehow i KNEW you were a pisces, you have pisces eyes. glad you like the first, i'm leaning toward that one but i do love them both.
i think the girl looks prettier in the second but it's not meant to be a portrait or to show off her beauty, the idea is to represent what pisces is and i think the first does that better.
whichever one i don't publish will go on my website as a sample of my work.

i love them both and can't really choose.
the scorpio was only posted because i'm worried that they may be positioned similarly or may look too similar, does anyone get that sense?

Aquarius is actually an air sign and i haven't done it yet, still working on finding a model...have the animals and the location though.
Aquarius is going to be one of the hardest ones to do, based on the nature of the sign.

At first I thought the little girl did look better in the second, but since this is the sign of the fish the submerged girl is better. The Scorpia is just too cool. I can't wait to see the others.

That's odd, I always thought because Aquarious was represented by the water bearer that it would have been a water sign. I can't wait to see the picture.

you are right that Aquarius is the sign of the water bearer but it is represented by the element air, which signifies intellect, communication, thought, and sharp mental skills. Aquarians are known for being friendly, unconventional, original, futuristic and argumentative. Aquarius is considered to be the most dynamic sign of the zodiac.
and of course this is true because i am an Aquarius myself.

as for the Scorpio, yeah, that is pretty cool and that is a really brave kid...that scorpion was crawling all over her. notice that her forearms are dry while the rest of her is wet...i did that on purpose otherwise the scorpion would drink off her arms and that idea just wigged me out so i made sure it couldn't happen.
the thing is, that pic really does represent what scorpio is...the girl is looking at you as if she's daring you to try what she's doing...SO scorpio!
