zdk753 wrote: On Sun night my husband was bitten by a fiddleback. I ran him to the e.r. & they gave him some antibiotics & pain pills. Last night he started screaming & I went to check his knee. It was leaking this stuff out. The only way I can describe it is it looked like a brown hard worm. I ran him back to the e.r. They gave him a shot of antibiotics & 2 diff kinds of antibiotics to take. They cut his knee open & drained quite a bit of venom out. It has spread all over his leg. He has to go back to the hospital Fri. & if it is not any better they are going to admit him. The Dr. told me last night that as of right now it looks like more than likely he will lose his leg. I really could use some prayers right now. I feel so helpless.

I don't have a weak stomach, but everytime I change his bandages it makes me nausous. It looks like I can see the bone. I keep looking at the pics on the internet & there is alot that look worse than his so I am praying that the Dr. is wrong.

zdk753 replied: Good news! They said it is healing nicely. He still has a huge hole, but they said it would take awhile to completely heal. He has to finish taking all of his antibiotics & put antibiotic cream on it at every bandage change. Thank you all for your prayers.
