pregnancy/csection question - not sure where to put this

my2monkeyboys wrote: Because of the type of question this is I wasn't sure whether to put this in general discussion, women's health, TTC or the pregnancy forum.
Anyway, for those who have had a csection, when you were pregnant the next time did you have little twinges/pains/cramps in the area of your scar?
I am not exactly thinking I am pregnant, but have been having some weird things happening. It is possible that I could be, but with my history or hormonal craziness I prefer not to think of it too much.
Anywho, I'm 5 days out from AF and I've been having weird pains in the area of my scar, which I have never had for any reason. So of course I immediately think, maybe a positive test is in the future. laugh.gif
So, have any of you ever had this, for any reason?
Thanks!

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Hmm, I've never had that feeling in my scar. But I'm also not pregnant and have never been PG after my C. So I don't really know. Hope someone else can help. KUP

Wait....thinking here....I do get pulling in that area sometimes. Like a zap. But I can't really pinpoint the time of month it happens. Sorry I'm really no help! sleep.gif

Same thing here, sorry no help either

my2monkeyboys replied: I got pains and that kind of thing for the first year or so after my section, but I've never had any thing happen since then. It's been doing this for about 3 days now, off and on, with some localized twinges of pain on the right side, too, like maybe where my ovary is.
Oh well... who knows! It feels yucky, though, so I wish it'd stop if it isn't something great happening, ya know??
Thanks for the help anyway, ladies!

A&A'smommy replied: I'm confused you are 5 days late or it is 5 days after your period, first day or last day?

my2monkeyboys replied: LOL -- sorry! I'm due in 5 days. Thursday or Friday.
Typically I don't get any cramps or what-not before, just the day after I start. There have been a couple of months in the past when I have, of course, but it's just not typically what happens. This month I'm having weird pains/twinges and I'm just trying to figure out why.
To lay it all out, I o'd about the 24-25, we DTD on the night of the 20th and the 24th.
About 5 days later I woke up in the middle of night feeling nauseas, a little dizzy, with a stuffed up nose, mild body aches and with some twinges in my lower abdomen. I really thought I had some kind of flu. It lasted about 2 days, with the stuffy nose finally going away. Since then though I've pretty well stayed slightly nauseated when I'm hungry and shortly after I eat, I've had times of slight dizziness and the weird twinges/pains. I've also been a bit bloated and having to pee more than usual bc of the bloating, I assume.
I thought nothing of it except that I have some kind of virus, but my DH reminded me that I had "the flu" right about the time I got pregnant with Will. Literally about a week after we conceived I was sick in a very similar way, which I've never had again until now. So of course we're thinking it could be that, but we have 5 more days before we could even test. So here I am, trying not to get my hopes up but wanting to find out what's going on as well.
Thanks if you actually got through all of that!

Brias3 replied: You know, I've had similar twinges of feeling before in the area. Not pain, just twinges of something. I've been pregnant since my C-section, but didn't notice a correlation between that and when I had those twinges.

Sorry I can't be much help, but I do know what you're referring to!

moped replied: yes i had that!!!

my2monkeyboys replied: Well, if it's not pregnancy then hopefully it's nothing to worry about. I just pay TOO much attention to my body I think... I feel every little thing! wacko.gif
Thanks!

tammyhopkins replied: I never had the twinges after i got pregnant but woudl get them when i wasn't pregnant.

A&A'smommy replied: hmmm sounds pregnant to me.. I don't remember if I had the twinges or not this time around wink.gif tongue.gif

mckayleesmom replied: I have had them sometimes...like Rae said a little zap if I move the wrong way or something...

Maybe you have the start of a hernia.

lisar replied: Yes I did but it was when the skin started stretching. So I was getting a little bigger at the time not at the begining.

coasterqueen replied: I had my c/s with my 1st so I can answer this as far as ME is concerned. happy.gif I had twinges when pg with Megan from the c/s of Kylie, BUT I still get twinges every now and then so I don't think there was any correlation between being pg and twinges for me.
