second pregnancies...

my2monkeyboys wrote: For anyone here who has been pregnant more than once...
were the symptoms of the second pregnancy the same as with the first, and were they the same sex child?

mckayleesmom replied: With Mckaylee....I swore I was on my death bed

With Russell...I didn't even know I was pregnant till I was 4 months.

2 Completely different experiences and 2 completely different sex's... laugh.gif

TheOaf66 replied: well we don't know the sex yet but Jennie's pregnancy this time around is totally different than with Tanner. She had a great time being preg. with Tanner and this one sucks for her...but I am still hoping it is a boy

skinkybaby replied: This one has pretty much been the same as my first. We'll see next month if its the same sex laugh.gif

momannabelle replied: My pregnancy with my first, a boy, was a breeze! After I had him, I seriously considered being a surrogate. Good thing my husband said NO WAY. This stuff is really hard on your body. With my daughter, whole different story. Nausea, heartburn, the WORST flu ever, but she also popped right out. My son took plenty of pushing. BTW, they both had lots of hair, so the heartburn thing was not true for me. How far along are u? Are you feeling badly? If so, I hope you start to feel better soon. There is nothing like feeling sick with another child to take care of. rolleyes.gif

mummy2girls replied: With Jordan(boy).. m/s for 2 weeks. high blood pressure, spina bifada scare, and had to be induced because of pre-eclampsia.

With Jenna( girl)... m/s for 5 months all day... ICK! high blood pressure, spina bifada scare, had to be induced because of the same thing...

so both were pretty much the same jkust the moprning sickness was bad!

MyBlueEyedBabies replied: MIne seemed to get progressively earier
1st girl All DAy sickness for 9 months and tons of problems that had noting to do with pregnancy but were all aggrivated by pregnancy(gal bladder, kidney issues)...also weeks of bed rest due to PTL
2nd boy all daysickness for about 6 months then gone but came back for about 1 month and a half (small break in the middle) also same problems as w/ #1 also bed rest due to PTL but much easier labor
3rd boy all day sickness only until 20 weeks then m/s for about 6 more weeks than nothing...no more other problems

ediep replied: My first pregnancy was a breeze, until the day I went into labor. I had a veru hard labor and my son was born and had to be admitted into the hospital. I had mild morning sickness for about 10 weeks, but nothing too bad.

so far with my second, (girl) it seems to be a little harder on my body....I have had to be hospitalized for a stomach bug, I have had countless colds and sinus infections, I had diarreah for 2 months, I just had to have emergency surgery on a thrombossed hemorrhoid (sorry, thats embarressing) blush.gif I had morning sickness for a few weeks, but not too bad

I am hoping and praying that my labor will be a bit easier

coasterqueen replied: Both pregnancies completely different with completely different symptoms....both same sex. biggrin.gif

CantWait replied: Same sex, but completely different symptoms.

With the first, I was extremly nauseated, and throwing up through my whole pregnancy, had lots of energy, iron level was fine.

Second, I was fatigued the whole pregnancy, less nauseated (only lasted a couple months), oh ya I had heartburn which I didn't with the second.

my2monkeyboys replied: To answer momannabelle, I'm not pregnant that I know of. It is very possible, but I'm not due until Tues or Wed, so we'll know then. I just don't feel like I'm going to have a period, and I kind of feel pregnant, though not with m/s or the like. I've had crazy cycles over the last year though, so I'm not getting my hopes up. The thing is, with the crazy ones they've always come early, never on time or late. So I don't know...
anyway, I think it's so neat to hear about pregnancies and how it all turned out.
So please keep posting! I just love pregnancy/baby stories!

edit: did anyone have less tender bbs with the next babies than with the first?

5littleladies replied: I've had 4 pregnancies, 4 girls, and they have all been about the same. Mild to moderate morning sickness for the first 12 weeks or so, and then I feel pretty good for the duration-Unless you count how HOT I feel all the time. wink.gif

siblingtooolivia replied: First pregnancy was HORRIBLE, took me almost 4 years to even consider doing it again and then once I said ok I had to do it quick before I changed my mind, this pregnancy has been a breeze...

First one was a girl, this one is a boy - need I say more!!!!!!!

kimberley replied: between my first two.. the symptoms were completely opposite from morning sickness to how i carried and what i craved.. and they are both boys. sorry.

~Roo'sMama~ replied: The only major difference between this pregnancy and my pg with Andrew is my m/s was worse and lasted a bit longer, and it came back for about a month in the 5th month. There are a few other little differences, but I don't know if it's because it's a girl this time, or just because it's not my first pregnancy. wink.gif
