luvbug00 wrote: So as we speak mya is rolling on the floor crying and saying she wants her things back ( I revoked the TV and her barry manalow cd) . OVER AND OVER she is saying this and I'm gonna crack.... and not in a good way..very soon! She has had such a smart lip recently and I've had it! She wants and wants and we give her alot but we obviously can't and don't want to give her everything. First she was whining because i told her She couldn't play at a friends house ( i have to workk tonight.). then she cried because i'm cutting down on her continuous snacking and finally because i won't let her ride without a carseat..she thinks she's too old for one. dry.gif I've had it!

TheOaf66 replied: woo hoo parenthood, nothing you can do but endure it, one thing we do is send Tanner to his room to sit on his bed until he calms down

luvmykids replied: hug.gif I'm sorry, I don't have any help but I do think you're doing all the right things by standing your ground. And I think it's great that you want her to appreciate the things you do give her and not take them for granted. Hang in there, it's not easy but you're doing it right! hug.gif

Oh-and this may sound mean but when one of the twins is acting like that, I tell them they are allowed to be upset but they aren't going to ruin my or the rest of the family's activity by having a fit so they have to go to their room to do it.

Ashlynn's Mommy replied: Send her to her room until she stops. Don't let her see that she's making you mad by doing what she's doing, if she knows it makes you mad then she will do it everytime. wavey.gif

Kaitlin'smom replied: hug.gif sounds like you both need to get out of the house or at least you. hug.gif

ashtonsmama replied: STAND YOUR GROUD, MAMA. YOU make the rules, and she'll feel it if you start to crack, so try to breathe and just get her to go to her room if you do time outs, etc.

Good luck-sorry I can't be of much help Nadia.

And I'm sorry, but that just made me crack up when you said you took away her TV and her BARRY MANILOW CD.

moped replied: Barry Manilow CD - now that is funny stuff!!! Cool!

Sorry, but I had to comment on that

redchief replied: Ignorance is Bliss. It's a terrible quote, really, when you think about it. But when the kids threw tantrums, it was the only way we could get them to stop. John actually held his breath long enough to go unconscious once. When he woke up, I asked him if he was finished. If looks could kill!!!! There was no repeat performance though.

luvbug00 replied: .

Oh that is HIlarious!!!

and still no TV at 6:26 so I'm holding on! emlaugh.gif but she stopped crying but won't stop asking for her stuff! rolleyes.gif

kimberley replied: hug.gif i have many, many days like that wacko.gif got an ipod?? if you can't hear the constant whining.. it really is not annoying anymore lol. hang in there. hug.gif

CantWait replied: Ok I'll save the Barry Manalow joke for later. laugh.gif

Seriously stand your ground, it'll get better. In the mean time, just breath, and remember we're to vent if need be. hug.gif

A&A'smommy replied: goodness that is fun!! I'm glad you held on I'm sure it will be helpful in the future... man I'm looking forward to those days!!! hug.gif

redchief replied:
