soooooooooooo - burnt

mom2tripp wrote: So I started tanning last week for a wedding that we are going to in baltimore this weekend. I DO NOT have fair skin so all last week I lay in the bed for 15 minutes. Yesterday I lay in a different bed and I thought, I'll go ahead and lay for 20 no big deal right? WRONG!!!!! My back and butt is SOOOO burnt that I'll probably be peeling for the wedding when I wanted to be tan--I'm so mad I want to scream growl.gif But then again it IS my fault after all!! Anyone have a home remedy for me??

coasterqueen replied: Use LOTS of aloe, lotioning constantly. tongue.gif That's what I've always done when I burned outside and I did that when Kylie got sunburnt on her face this summer. We never peeled. thumb.gif

mom2tripp replied:
I've been trying--Thanks Karen biggrin.gif

luvbug00 replied: I was gonna say aloe too..Sorry that happened I hate when things go wrong right before an important event!

I live near baltimore wink.gif

mckayleesmom replied: Maybe start exfoliating now so you can peel most of the skin off as it starts drying.

mom2tripp replied:
I know you do wavey.gif I don't know exactly off the top of my head where the church is but the reception is at Camden Yards

mom2tripp replied:
That's a good idea do you know of any good way to do it, I really have never exfoliated!!! And I'm not burnt on the front just one the backside rolling_smile.gif

Kaitlin'smom replied: noxema works wonders on burns, might sting a little but it works.

MyLuvBugs replied: Put tons of aloe on and that will help it heal faster. You will hopefully peel before the wedding then. Also, get a body exfoliant to help scrub your skin at the end of the week. That will help to get the dead stuff off. smile.gif Hope that all works out for you.

mckayleesmom replied: Also...I got toasted in Florida....I bought this loation from Jergens for fair skin...its suppose to make you glow like you are tan or some kind of bs like that.....I have been using that and I haven't started to peel yet....I got burnt over a week ago.

mckayleesmom replied: another thing....Mil also gave me this lotion from Oil of Olay....it has a little bit of bronzer in it....I have been using that too.

moped replied: Oh darn!

Aloe is the only thing I can think of but in a couple of days you should be ok

Sorry!

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Yeah I can only think of aloe. Have you thought about trying one of those spray on tans? My sister had one done where someone sprays you with a airbrush and it came out REALLY good! Sorr it happened...hope you feel better soon!
