sorry to post twice in one day - but I thought of another question

Emeraldsmom wrote: Sorry to post twice in one night, but I thought of another question. My baby Emerald is 2 months old. For the past week or so she has been drooling a lot. My mom says she must be teething, but is that possible when she is so young.

Actually babies can start teething a couple of months before they even get teeth. My daughter did the same thing. The other thing I have heard about the drooling is that the digestive system is maturing.

I agree with what Carrie-Ann said. Babies start teething months before a tooth shows up. And their digestive tracts are also maturing. Same info as what she said.

Time to break out the bibs! They are a real clothes-saver, otherwise you will be changing clothes constantly, LOL!

I agree with the others drooling could be teething or digestive sys maturing....either way it is completely normal. Start using those bibs!

MommyToAshley replied: I agree with the other ladies. We went through so many bibs at that age! I just wanted to say welcome and please post away! We'd love to get to know you and Emerald better! What a pretty name!

kimberley replied: yup, i agree too. Jade started teething around 7-8wks old but didn't cut her first tooth until she was 5mos! good luck!

Mommy2BAK replied: My daughter Blakely will be four months old this Friday, and everyone always tells me that she is teething so I finally put some of that baby orajel on her gums, and that stuff is great its in a q-tip and makes it really easy to put on.

redchief replied: Yup, sounds like a teething little one to me!

MomToJade&Jordan replied:
That's kind of funny Kimberly because my Jade did the same thing. LOL!!!!!!

annafrombc replied: Same thing happened here. Evan was 2 months old when the drooling started and had his first tooth at 4 months!
And everyone said it was "too early".
