strange feeling - ectopic?
my2monkeyboys wrote: I have had this strange little ping in my right side, off and on the last couple of days. It usually is when I sit a certain way or sometimes when I lay on my right side in bed. Before I found out I was pregnant it happened a few times on the left side, but the last few days it's been on the right. It's not even as bad as, say, pulling a strand of hair out, but it just comes and goes. It's on the lower right side of my pelvis, so it has my worrying a bit about a possible ectopic pregnancy. I never had this feeling with Will, so I'm just concerned. Everything I read just has "pelvic pain" as a symptom, but it doesn't really say what kind of pain, how bad, etc. I know I may just be paranoid, but does this sound like something I should be worried about? Thanks -- again!!!
abunky replied: hmmm! not sure , maybe call your doc and see what they say
5littleladies replied: With almost every pregnancy I have had I have little sharp pains on one side. It has always been because of a cyst on my ovary called a functional cyst and it is a result of ovulation. They shrink in time-usually a couple of months and are pretty common. I would call and maybe talk to a nurse and see if they advise you to come in and get checked but it probably isn't anything to worry about.
gr33n3y3z replied: Ectopic you will know hun I had one before and it wasnt just a little pain it was very painful and you always felt like you had to push like giving birth and I spotted the whole time and had an odor and I always felt sick to my stomach and couldnt eat and always peed a lot and all the preg. test that I took some said I was and some said I wasnt and it happend to the Dr also until I got an Ultra sound and it confirmed I had a tubal pregnancy
my2monkeyboys replied: I'm so sorry Lisa... that must have been an awful experience for you. However, it does make me feel better. I have an appt tomorrow, so I think I'll just wait. Since the little pain comes and goes and isn't bad I think I can wait. Maybe it will just be a little cyst or something else that isn't bad.
I'm so sorry to bother you all AGAIN! I promise I'll try to keep my paranoias to myself from now on. Thank you!!!!
gr33n3y3z replied: Oh no its good to talk about your worries
It was very awful but no in the sence I lost a baby in the sence I was so sick and how something like that could make me so sick. lovemy2 replied: Its so hard not to but try not to overanalyze every twinge here and there - pay attention but try to relax
my2monkeyboys replied: Thanks ladies!!!
A&A'smommy replied: is it like a sharp pain? it could be round ligament pain from stretching
Calimama replied: I wouldn't worry. You're going to have tons of little twinges of pain. You'll know when something isn't right.
Mommy2BAK replied: I had those same feelings when I first found out I was pregnant. Hopefully its just nothing!
My2Beauties replied: Ectopic pregnancies are very painful and you will begin to bleed, if this happens you should call your doc
Crystalina replied: I hope they stop for you soon.
Sam & Abby's Mom replied: I had an ectopic and I did NOT bleed at all. Once the pain started though, like Lisa said -- it never goes away and for me it seemed to get worse. I also had alot of rectal pressure. I could not sit without sharp pains shooting up my backside. I also walked hunched over - I couldnt stand up straight. The pain started in the lower CENTER of my abdomen, but eventually settled more on the left. The pain was so bad that I was in bed for hours - trying to sleep it off and figure out what the heck was going on.
Hillbilly Housewife replied: Sounds like cyst pain to me. I just had one... had the pains up til this morning. It's a bother.
TrulyBlessed replied: I had little pains like that with my 2nd and 3rd baby and I was told that it may be when the egg attaches itself to the uterus wall.
my2monkeyboys replied: I'm going to try to think positive, and I'll KUP on the dr appt tomorrow. I hope everything is great. The one thing I am pretty sure will happen is that they'll say I'm 6 weeks bc my last period was on Feb 12. Even though I'll tell them I have 35 day cycles and I really should only be 5 wks. They did the same thing will Will, only to redo my dates once I had my first sonogram. Oh well, I'll take screwed-up dates over a problem any day of the week!
A&A'smommy replied: I'm pretty sure its nothing I had the SAME feeling with lissa..seems like there is a LOT of weird stuff that happens with your second that didn't with your first.. I have noticed that this entire pregnancy!!!!
