teething tablets - can someone tell me about those?
boyohboyohboy wrote: I have heard these mentioned on here before, can someone tell me what they are, whats in them, where you get some, and how they are administered? I have a 9 month old in serious need of somepain relief..He refuses cold things, and is constantly taking tylenol and motrin, piggy back for the last two weeks, and orajel as often as I can..but its starting to upset his belly. I feel so bad for him. he got 5 teeth at once and now before they are even done, is cutting those nasty eye teeth..

HTH!
joshsophia replied: Teething tabs are a natural remedy that contain chamomile. Instructions on the bottle say that babies can have 2-3 tablets hourly. I tried them with my baby but I think she just liked the taste more than anything. You never know though. My sister had good luck with them when her daughter was teething.
luvmykids replied: I think they're miraculous, I swear I had no teething trouble with any of them and I think a big part of it was the teething tabs. They used to be with the baby products but I think I heard that now you have to get them from the pharmacist.
Hope they work for you and you can both get some relief!
boyohboyohboy replied: OMG! These things are great! I went right out and got them, I called the dr office first and they have never heard of them...but decided we were deperate...so I gave him two and he is sleeping! I havent seen him sleep longer then 15 mins in two weeks!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you for the advice!
Our Lil' Family replied: I've been using mine a lot more lately too. Maybe that's why Thomas is still asleep, been asleep for 1 1/2 hrs., naps haven't been that good lately.
msoulz replied: Has anyone has a doc OK these? Do they really stop pain or are they a sedative?
luvmykids replied: My doc is the one who told me about them. They're not a sedative, they just relieve the pain enough for the poor little punkins to get some sleep.
MyLuvBugs replied: They're perfectly harmless and they aren't a sedative. They're all natural and are recommended by the two peds we've seen.
mckayleesmom replied: I swear by those suckers and would bow down and kiss the person who made thems feet...They rock. The first time I got them for Mckaylee...I gave her some in the store and she was asleep before we left.
msoulz replied: This sounds like a great thing! So asking the pharmacist is the way to obtain them?
I love this board!!!!
~Roo'sMama~ replied: I find them in the baby aisle with the rest of the teething gels at both Wal-Mart and Walgreen's. I think some Wal-Marts do have them behind the pharmacist's counter though.
flirtycuddle replied: I have found them with the baby stuff at Walgreens and then behind the counter at the pharmacist in Walmart. Just ask and they can tell u.
