ok, here are my answers:
1. i was named Jennifer after my Grandpa Jacob and Hebrew named Leah after my Grandpa Leo. btw, in Hebrew it's not proncounced like Lee ya but rather like Lay ya, like Princess Lea from Star Wars.
2. my childhood dream was to save the world, my whole life my mom kept telling me that i can't save the world everytime i was upset by an injustice that took place.
3. my grownup dream is to save the world...i'm still working on coming to terms with the fact that one person cannot do it but it won't stop me from trying.
4. my mom inspires me, she seems to be so good at everything...it seems like everything she touches turns to gold. i am also deeply inspired by the children i work with everyday, it boggles my mind just how much they understand and are capable of...there is no doubt in my mind that we as adults don't give them nearly enough credit.
5. my greatest aspiration is to be a legendary photographer...that and to save the world from ALS.
6. what surprises me is people's apathy, i worry that someday i'll find it in myself, ike the time last week that i didn't give that old beggar lady money.
7. what i like most about people is that they intrigue me...i find nearly everyone fascinating, from a janitor to the Queen of England, everyone is interesting to me. i've always had the desire to interview serial killers, just to try to understand where their psychopathology comes from
8. what i dislike most about people is their closed mindedness and ignorance, i see both way more often than i'd like to.
9. my favorite sounds are my mother's voice, the ocean, and children's laughter.
10. my favorite smells are the ocean and nearly any flower, especially jasmine, peonies, gardenias and roses.
11. i'd be reincarnated as Dr. Seuss's Lorax--i am the Lorax and i speak for the trees.... or maybe the cure for ALS.
12. if there was one thing about me that was contagious i'd like it to be my love and respect for nature...if everyone shared that love and respect there'd be a lot fewer problems in the world.
13. i do feel misunderstood at times, largely because i don't always express myself well and i tend to be very outspoken and straightforward, which people are often not used to and they find it rude or too straightforward. but the upside is that people always know where they stand with me.
14. the one thing i wish people knew about me is that i always tell it like it is, if i didn't say it then i didn't mean it, i'm not much of a between the lines kind of girl.
15. the one thing i wish i could change about the world is that i wish the power of love was stronger than the love of power...we'd live in a much friendlier world that way.
16. the three words people often use to describe me are--ambitious, unique/original and creative.
17. what makes me happy everyday is creating permanent memories for people. it amazes me that parents often tell me that i saw something in their children that they didn't until they saw my pictures. it's comforting to know that after i'm gone and after the people i photographed are gone, my artwork will be treasured by their great great great grandchildren for many generations to come. i feel in a way like it's my way of achieving immortality not only for myself but also for all the people i photograph...they will never be forgotten.
18. what i struggle with everyday is my need for control...i can't do what i do everyday without maintaining a strong sense of control over the situation because pictures are taken under very controlled conditions. i'm still coming to terms with the fact that i can't control everything and i have to work under the conditions i'm given and still do a great job everytime.
19. oh, i am definitely a predator, i relate most to big cats like tigers, panthers and lions. i am very much like them in that i'm territorial and look sweet yet i can turn on someone in a heartbeat if provoked. it's odd though that i am a vegetarian and refuse to eat what humans consider to be prey. i'm torn between being a predator and my desire to save the world. that in itself is a struggle.
20. if i had an unlimited supply of money and could only spend it in one place i'd make sure every child on earth had enough love, food and shelter.
21. i think i'd most like to have a second home in NYC, it's a very artistic hub and there is always something exciting happening there.
22. my fave song is Crash into me by DAve Matthews Band.
23. My fave sports team is the NY Yankees, i'm definitely a New Yorker at heart.
24. My must see tv is Desperate Housewives and now this board has gotten me into Grey's Anatomy and soon of course there will be NY Yankees games.

Just that in this day and age people just 'expect' things. Like holding a door open for someone and they just walk right passed without so much as a thank you. Like I owe them a door opening. It's been one of those days.

The ability to try new things. Dh is so set in his ways. I'm the kind to eat something odd (unless it's moving), hang out with people differant then myself. That kind of stuff.

Me? never! No, seriousely I don't. I don't feel like I'm that complicated.

That I'm very artistic. I love and studied art. I used to be able to look at art and tell you if it was an original or copy. I Aced my finearts class! I'm a little rusty but I've studied every curve of every nude painting. I also know why the women were so curvy ( today they would be called chubby, fat ). And I'm a huge Salvador Dali fan.
