yesterday we were eating dinner and heard a loud bang. It sounded like a bomb was dropped in the next county. We turned on the police scanner and heard nothing about it. about an hour later, Dh went to go to work and the garage door wouldn't open. After about 30 minutes of he and I out there manhandling the garage door trying to get it open, we realize the giant spring across the top broke (that was the bang). So we were trapped at our home on a Saturday night.
I finally found someone who came out this morning to fix it. $200.00 later (by the way a GREAT deal according to my neighbor) that's fixed.
So then I'm working on laundry today. I started my 6th load and took Katherine to pick out a present for Lauren. I come home, fold the stuff in the dryer and go to pull the stuff from the washer. Ummmm, it's still full of water. I fiddle with the controls and NOTHING. I check the breaker and NOTHING.
I'm really frusterated. I'm trying to decide what's next, the A/C or the Fridge?
Woody's bonus better be fat this year or I'm going to be so in debt at the beginning of the new year.
We are trying to decide if we should get this one fixed or if we should just get a new one. I'm especially bummed that I saved my clothes for last so I have nothing to wear this week now. ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRGHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Woody tried to cheer me up by telling me that I could get new clothes until the washer is fixed. LOL I wish!
I know it's not as bad as it could be (Like our January 3 years ago) and I'm keeping my sense of humor but geez, it can stop now.
Mommy2Isabella replied: Hope things stop breaking around your place ...
Anthony275 replied: that sucks. 2 days before thanksgiving our kitchen light broke. sure, get it replaced. the day the new one was replaced, the other light broke. and we had thanksgiving here too
MyBrownEyedBoy replied: bummer. I say take Woody's suggestion. Get new clothes, he said you could...
luvmykids replied: When it rains it pours, huh? We've gone through a spell of that around here, no fun, especially at the holidays. I hope you've seen the last of it
amynicole21 replied: Oh man. Sorry. Things like this always happen at the most inopportune times.
Calimama replied: Why does everything break at once?? I'm sorry hun.
Cece00 replied: Tell me about it! My washer is broke too, just happened this morning. Well, its not broken, but the repair costs so much it made more sense to buy a new one.
And I've been having plumbing problems for awhile...to the tune of about $500 right now plus $1300 in repairs that need to be done...our kitchen light ballast went out right before Thanksgiving (just fixed it last week...) and then like 3 lightbulbs went out (and they are hard to find light bulbs) right after that...
And my car was messed up & I got that fixed a month ago
and 2 yrs ago right before Christmas my transmission went out...awesome.
I am just like "PLEASE, nothing else go wrong right now..." We are having a streak of bad luck lately.
A&A'smommy replied: UGH that sucks!!!! I hope that nothing else breaks!!!!
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Ugh, why is it that everything breaks at the same time? And always during a time when you have numerous other expenses. Sorry hon. I would go buy new clothes!
redchief replied: Sorry about your spring, but I'm really glad no one was out there when it happened. A friend of mine was killed a few years back when a garage door spring let go and tore half of his head off.
Cece00 replied: Oh wow, what a scary freak accident!!

gr33n3y3z replied: I hope that was the last thing to go for you Hmmm you can go buy new clothes I would tell Woody thank you LOL
bawoodsmall replied: That is not right for so many reasons. Sorry.

MomToJade&Jordan replied: I'm sorry hun. Did you check to see if anything was wrapped around the spinner in the washer? That happened to me once in Hawaii. The washer stopped because something got stuck.
jem0622 replied: I am sorry about all the house madness.
