punkeemunkee'smom replied: I know it will be hard but if it is any help at all...my brother and sister are 12 months and 4 days apart and they are so close! It always made me jealous. I hope that your DF can look past the timing and realize what a blessing 2 healthy babies will be!

lisar replied: I think if you got pg this soon then its meant to be for you. You will be able to handle it. Just hang in there. My cousins are only 13 months apart and they have a great relationship. Better than me and my sister and we are 3 years apart. It is a blessing. Think of it that way.

I have friends (2 brothers) who are 9 months apart...no joke. I'm excited for you, when are you going to tell DH? Hope he takes the news okay. It is such a blessing, they will grow up to be so close!

Jackie012007 replied: thanks everyone... now that the shock has worn off, I'm excited and I'm soooo glad I haven't really gotten rid of any of Carly's things she doesn't use anymore! I am an only child and always wanted siblings and I'm glad Carly will get to have them! Really my biggest concern at this point is being pregnant so soon after a c-section - it was exactly 3 months last Thursday. I Googled some info and I guess there is risk related so I'm a little worried

Now I just have to tell Carl... I'll let you know how that one goes, if I'm alive to tell the tale!

Cece00 replied: I've had c-sections 16 and 11 months apart. Although there is a higher risk, I had no problems whatsoever, and the large majority of ppl do not. I wouldnt worry about that.

Jackie012007 replied: WELL I told him... let's say Carl is not exactly thrilled, but he's taking it well. He's kinda shocked too since I got the negative at the Dr's. But he's being cool - I mean, what, am I gonna give the baby up or abort it??? Heck no... we'll adjust like we did with Carly! So I feel a little better now. We both agreed to not tell any of our IRL friends/family until we are a lot further along - I'm going to call for an appointment tomorrow!

There can be complications with that but I'm sure it won't be anything you can't handle. I have a friend who is about to have her 4th c-section in 4 years. She has to wear a support band thingy to support the places she's had stitches, and she's been put on bed rest a few times but other than that her pregnancies have been healthy and her babies are all healthy too.

I have a friend who has three babies who are all 13 months apart. She has one who is potty training, one who is weaning off the bottle and one who is still waking several times a night!
