unexpected news from angelhair!

I went in for a ultrasound because my doctor wanted to see what the next step was, either a d andc or to clean out my tubes. imagine my complete and utter shock when the ultrsound showed not only the very early embroyo with a heartbeat! they were even able to count the babys heartbeat. the doctor was absolutly shocked and could not believe it since a earlier ultrasound just three days earlier showed nothing. have yet another ultrasound thur to check on the development and if things look good the doctor said it should be smooth sailing. also the doctor thought it was a miscarriage because when he took a blood hormone test on monday and again on wed and the numbers did not go up high as they should, but the doctor said today that it might have been to soon between tests and from now on he will go by the ultrasounds

Maddie&EthansMom replied: OMG!!! That is fantastic news!! I am soooo happy for you! Bless your heart that they had to put you through all of this. I was going to tell you that happens a lot where you are not as far along as you thought or it takes a little longer for baby to develop. Some places won't do an u/s until you are 12 weeks for that very reason. But, it worked out so well and that's great!
