unsure - need a friendly ear.
JulieJ wrote: Hi Everyone! I know that I am new here. The last ten days have been like hell for me, but I am not sure about posting it here. I need to get it out but don't want to bore everyone or be a drama queen. My resources that I normally have are out of town and my coping skills seem to be dwindling.
A&A'smommy replied: Welcome!!! You can vent here thats another reason for this board is for us moms to vent and support each other!!
mckayleesmom replied: Your welcome to tell us anything you want. That is what we are all here for. All of us have needed a supportive ear at one point or another trust me.
Crystalina replied: And venting and supporting is what we do best! I've done more then my fair share of venting on here and always feel better after it's all done.
My3LilMonkeys replied: Welcome!!! Feel free to post about whatever it is - in my experience here it seems there is almost always someone who has gone through a similar experience and for me it just helps knowing I'm not the only one.
DillsMommy replied: Welcome. This is a great place for support. So feel free to vent all you want--we are here to listen.
JulieJ replied: Thanks, I wasn't sure. I told you all about my DD being dropped on cement by the neighborhood kid a week ago last Friday. That is when it all started. Sat was DH B-day and we had planned to go to the cheesecake bistro in Atlanta. DD and I have not been out by ourselves since he immigrated (he's English) 01/06. My neighbor who had been babysitting the kids offered to watch them for no charge. My daughter felt so badly from being dropped that we decided to stay home. We had even bought him a new outfit for the occasion. My neighbor had also verbalized how committed she was to watching the kids (I pay her more than the daycare) when DH is out of town on business. She changed her mind after he left town and informed me when I was on my way to work. My nurse manager at first was understanding and took me off from work for the week so I could find childcare. I found it two days later...a proper English nanny, only to be informed that the nurse manager took me off of work for the next week as well. She says she was worried about her clinic being staffed. I did not even get a courtesy call saying that she was thinking about doing this. My paycheck that I got was short because they did not take out PTO. Oh and I slammed my leg in the car door today, lost a hubcap at the bank. DD won't get paid for three weeks because he is in construction and now I am out two weeks worth. This has got to end.
On the bright side my family is healthy and we love each other very much. I am thinking about asking the doc for some anxiety pills which I have never been on to just get me through. I got the tax invoice for my house today and thank God the mortgage company takes care of it.
Ok, I think I am done now. I really am usually more upbeat and positive. Thank you so much for this.
A&A'smommy replied: I hope things get better for you soon
mckayleesmom replied: Sorry that happened. I think probably everyone on this board has had their ups and downs emotionally and financially at one point or another. You just have to remind yourself that it will get better eventually.
JulieJ replied: Thanks you all; I really appreciate it. I just got finished playing my DS's Spongebob game and had a blast. Thanks again!
luvmykids replied: Was it Spongebob collapse? That always makes me feel better too
You have a great outlook to keep in mind that your family is together and healthy, that has gotten us through many a time that everything else seemed in shambles. Just remember that as tough as these times are, they're still only temporary and you guys will get through
msoulz replied: Hi Julie:
Welcome, and I hope you have a better week!
And don't worry about feeling like a drama queen - stick around long enough and I am sure you will see we can all be that way. And we all get lots of hugs when we are.
Maddie&EthansMom replied: That is a bad day. I'm so sorry. Just keep your chin up and remember that tomorrow is another day.
It always helps me when I spend time with my kids, too. I'm glad you are feeling a bit better this evening.
CantWait replied: We all have our off days when things seem like it's all downhill. I'm sorry you're having one of them, but glad that you're able to see the positive side as well.
Remember we're here if you ever need to vent, and remember we love to hear your happy stories as well.
