PrairieMom wrote: a little background...

I worked all weekend, nights. I was up 24 hours until saturday morning, got 5 hours sleep, worked 12 hours, got 6 hours sleep. Worked 12 hours got 2 hours sleep. Then I slept an entire night from 8 till 5. laugh.gif Thankyou Tylenol PM! rolling_smile.gif Okay so all weekend I got 13 hours sleep, then worked last night again. i was up for 29 hours by the time I got home this morning. My house is TOTALLY thrashed. We have no clean bottles, DH has managed to loose every Paci we own. It was 8 am, Dh needs to be out the door by 8, but the kids were still in their Jammies, He was still feeding Ally and Ben was finishing his breakfast. I tried to go streight to bed, but poor poor DH needed help getting he kids out the door. his exact words?

" I suppose its on ME to get the kids ready?" um... yeah. I am totally exhausetd, worked all night, haven't slept in 29 hours, Its already after 8, and I have to be up to pick the kids up at 11:30, so... yeah its "On YOU" to get the kids out the door. growl.gif growl.gif growl.gif growl.gif growl.gif growl.gif growl.gif growl.gif growl.gif growl.gif growl.gif growl.gif growl.gif growl.gif growl.gif growl.gif growl.gif growl.gif growl.gif growl.gif growl.gif growl.gif growl.gif I won't even talk about the laundry I am left with. OMG you guys, I am SO tired, but there is so much to do! growl.gif

cameragirl21 replied: oh God, Tara, you poor thing, that sounds awful! hug.gif
i know how cranky i get if i've worked for a long time and need to sleep...idk, if the laundry is DH's then maybe let him wash it or have no clean undies...?
sometimes i think men do these things on purpose so women will never ask them again.... unsure.gif
anyway, i hope you get a good night's sleep tonight. snooze.gif hug.gif

Calimama replied: I hope you get some sleep soon. Let everything sit.. it's not the end of the world if stuff doesnt get done. hug.gif

PrairieMom replied:
I have to babysit tomorrow tho, so I have to at least FIND the floor so I can vacuum. ( 80 pound long haired lab dry.gif )

Get THIS! I found the brussles sprouts I made for dinner last night still on the stove, ( nearly 24 hours later) growl.gif Anyone want to guess what THAT smells like? My whole house now reaks of sour kraut. nice. dry.gif At least I now have the dishwasher and washing machine going. wacko.gif

Hillbilly Housewife replied: Tara... all I can say is... www.flylady.net

my dh is the same way! I can handle the 5 kids, have a load of laundry done, I prepare the breakfast, snacks, my son's school lunch, lunch, snacks again, AND DINNER, every day... and my frickin dh can't even clean up a stinkin pot of mac'n'cheese I made quickly before rushing out to my karate class.... So I get to clean up when I'm not even there to mess the house up...

FLYlady is my hero. wub.gif

Calimama replied:
Ooo yuck! Haha if you lived closer I'd come over and help. I LOVE LOVE cleaning and organizing. tongue.gif

Calimama replied:
I like the "Clean your bathroom in 15 mins" thing... but I cant stand all the emails.

Hillbilly Housewife replied:
I get the digest... only 1 per day... and it's mostly reminders... so I usually just DELETE anyways! rolling_smile.gif

My dh actually started making the bed on his own the last week or so... he gave me crap the other day when he let me sleep in and I neglected to make the bed... it was saturday... he said that he's been "making an effort" ( what did he want...a pat on the back? rolleyes.gif what about MY pat? I think I deserve like 1000?! laugh.gif ) laugh.gif but I guess I can't be a hypocrite, huh? emlaugh.gif

lisar replied: Good luck girl. I dont know what else to say. hug.gif

CantWait replied: mad.gif Sorry Tara. I don't understand why in 90% of the families when the mom is working, it's also on the mom to do everything and anything to do with the children and household.

punkeemunkee'smom replied:

WOW! I wish you lived closer to me! LOL! Will you tell DH that you need a transfer to San Antonio? I could make the drive to come pick you up...I will hold Bella and you can organize to your hearts content! We have some Barbies in serious need of organization! rolling_smile.gif emlaugh.gif rolling_smile.gif

luvmykids replied:
Ditto, ditto, ditto to all of it! (except three kids not five, and no karate LOL)

Treat yourself to dropping the laundry off....it's actually not that expensive and it's a big splurge once in a while to only have to put it away. Everything clean all at the same time, too! thumb.gif

PrairieMom replied:
no doubt. It wouldn't be so bad, but I work such long hours when I AM working. I leave the house at 6:15 and don't get home until 8 in the morning. Dishes from the dinner I COOKED the night before are always sitting for me on the counter. ( directly above the dishwasher) I sleep usually until 3, then I have to get ready, cook dinner and out the door, all while still being able to spend time with the kids. rolleyes.gif At least I only have to do it about 6 times a month. I know lots of moms out there have it WAY worse. I don't even feel like I have the right to complaine. rolleyes.gif

BUT, good grief! at least make sure i have some clean bottles and a friggin pacifier when I get home. growl.gif

mummy2girls replied: (((HUGS))) I knwo the feeling hun!!!!!

i am now kinda leaning away from marriage now... sad.gif sleep.gif

PrairieMom replied:
I hope its not becuase my DH is a dink... sad.gif

Calimama replied:
I used to live in San Antonio! In fact some of my family is there.. and some in Corpus Christi! tongue.gif
