very sad
Mommy2BAK wrote: a 6 year old boy from around our area died yesterday while outside playing baseball with his parents and a friend... he pitched the ball to his friend and when his friend hit the ball it came back and hit the little boy in the chest (apparently in just the wrong spot over his heart) that caused his heart to stop and he died. I have never heard of such, its scary how quickly life can be taken away from us. Anyway, just wanted to post this as a little bit of info about playing rough or what not, maybe it can help others in some way to have that tid bit of info

Cece00 replied: So sad. Freak accidents, esp those involving children, are always so so sad. A girl in my city was outside with her dad playing golf here (this was a few yrs ago) and a golf ball hit her on the side of her head, just the right spot, and ended up killing her as well. Scary.

I have heard that if you get hit in the chest hard enough and between heart beats, that you die.
MommyToAshley replied: How sad! I can't even imagine what those parents are going through. My heart aches for them.
