well, my babysitter did it again! - I am so livid

TANNER'S MOM wrote: Well, I am so mad. I had to take a long lunch today to take my tax info and drop it off. So with that being done. I hurried to eat my lunch at my desk after being gone for 1 and half hours.

My babysitter calls and says that she won't be able to watch Tanner today. And I say why?? FLU. DEATH, DisMemberment??

She says that her son who is 16 years and can drive has a basketball game in a near by town and she is going. Well first of all , that is fine, well it would if it didn't happen all the time.

I said I am sorry I can't leave work ealy today, as I had to take a long lunch for personal business. She well no one will be here when he gets off the bus.

Ok I am so damn mad. So, what do I do? He is not going back there again. She can't be trusted and just wants my money.

Stress Stress Stress

5littleladies replied: That's terrible!!! Who the heck does she think she is?? ohmy.gif You should definitely find someone new-as of today. Don't give her another dime if you don't have to!

aspenblue1 replied: I would defiantely find a new sitter and would report her.

coasterqueen replied: OMG! mad.gif I'd find a new sitter too! At least she could have told you DAYS ago so you could have made other arrangements! How rude!

Kaitlin'smom replied: ohmy.gif oh I would be so mad if my sitter pulled that......hope you find a new sitter or place for him asap and dont pay her another cent....how rude

Boys r us replied: Ohhhhhhh that would not set well with me AT ALL!!!!!
I would NOT EVER TAKE HIM BACK..EVER! Leave her high and dry without your money with no notice, just as she's left u with no sitter! See how she likes THAT!
I would do that, EVEN if it meant taking tomorrow off too to find someone!
So did she just find out her son had a basketball game this afternoon???? Not likely...and a little notice would have served as a GREAT courtesy!
And I don't know how it is where you live, but I have never heard of a basketball game in the afternoon..here, they're always at night..like 7pm!

My2Beauties replied: Hmmm..sounds a bit odd to me! I would tell her to shove it and take Tanner elsewhere!!! I would be so pissed if I were you mad.gif she should have shown some courtesy and told you in advance! UGH!

kimberley replied: mad.gif she's fired!! OMG!! i would be freaking out if i were you! basketball games are not scheduled 20 minutes in advance, and if she decided only now to tell you, then she is completely irresponsible and should not be watching your son!
i am with Nichole... don't pay her!

A&A'smommy replied: I cannot believe how irresponisble she is! dry.gif !! I think you need to find another baby-sitter JMO

ammommy replied: mad.gif I am fuming and it doesn't really affect me, so I can imagine how angry you are! It sounds to me that she is a person who thought that babysitting would be an easy way to get some extra $$ and never thought of it as a job. I hope you can find another sitter for Tanner.

Mommy2BAK replied: Oh Mel, that makes me so angry! mad.gif Does Tanner to school here in S'dale? If so I could help you out! smile.gif

TANNER'S MOM replied:
Oh thank you! That is so sweet, but he goes to Elkins. Since we actually live in Madison County....

Thank You, that is so sweet!!

Mommy2BAK replied: Oh, I still can't belive how far you drive everyday to come to S'dale. But I could try to help you find somehere else for him to stay?? Just let me know if I can help in any way!

mammag replied: That is ridiculous! I agree, don't take him back. I could see if she suddenly had to get to a doctor or something but a game???? She should have given you at least a weeks notice for something like that! mad.gif

party-of-six replied: Is she licensed? If so, report her to the state. wink.gif some people are idiots sometimes......no notice and not going to be there when he gets off the bus.....geez.

Kirstenmumof3 replied: I definately think you need to find a new babysitter. This can't happen all the time. Either she wants to babysit for you or she wants to have her own life! I really hope you can find someone else, someone reliable and that you can trust! grouphug.gif

loveydad replied: Oh what A FLAKE! grr. Glad your finding someone else.

maestra replied: Is there an afterschool program at his school? Here in Az we have Parks and Rec at every school until 6 pm, and they will watch them and give them lots of activities until someone picks them up. Maybe that would work temporarily until you can find someone else, because you need to fire this woman! mad.gif
