Boys r us wrote: My lil boo boo has an ear infection!! But At least we caught it pretty early and they put him on Cefzil(sp?). I really thought we were over these things, his first 12 mnths, he had about 10 of them! It was crazy..but he's only had one after he turned one, until now.

ctymom replied: I wonder why some babies are just prone to ear infections? One of my sisters got them alot. I just got braces and my Ortho told me that I must have had an ear infection my first year of life and took an antibotic (a certain kind....I cant think of the name. Starts with an "A") b/c I have a line that goes across the front of my teeth. I called my mom and sure enough it was true! I think that has to do with the antibotic I had to take many years ago.

oh I forgot...my sister also ended up with some scarring from so many ear infections... so it's something to look out for just in case the doctor didnt mention it.

Anyway I'm rambling on.... I hope he feels better!

My2Beauties replied: Ugh I hate ear infections, Hanna had like 8 before she was 6 months old so we put tubes in her ears! The antibiotics weren't even working on her anymore. I hope he gets to feeling better soon!

favre4fan replied: Yuck!! Austin had a ton of them and got tubes in his ears when he was 8 months old. He was born sick I always say. I lost my job when he was a baby he was constantly ill. I think it was because the whole time i was preggo with him they kept me on cipro for constant uti and kidney infections. The risk of letting the infection go without meds was too much of a risk for me. I think the poor guy was immune to antibiotics because of it. Well I sure do hope he feels better soon I know how miserable those can be!

Kirstenmumof3 replied: Awwwww poor little guy! Claudia used to get some really bad ear infections, but since she had tubes put in her ears she has only had 1. I hope he feels better soon!

redchief replied: Our son John was terribly prone towards ear infections as a baby. He still gets one or two a year at 17. I had the same problem as a child and got ear infections until I was about 25 (be careful of ignoring that too, I have some permanent hearing loss on account of allowing them to get out of control).
