what a week! - Phew

My sitter called today to let me know that her son has the flu and that I shouldn't bring Katherine over today. He is now in the hospital with an IV because he got really dehydrated. I totally understand but my backup sitter (my mom) isn't able to help this week because she is moving next week and she can't take any extra time off of work. It wouldn't be a big deal but I promised our biggest client a bunch of info by Friday and since the server was down on Tuesday (the only day K was at daycare this week) I wasn't able to get any of it done. I was really counting on being able to work today. I'll probably be working into the wee hours of the morning trying to meet this deadline now which means I will be tired all day tomorrow with K. I hate days like that.

Then, I went to the grocery store today and the bag girl was commenting on how cute K was and then she patted my belly and said "and it looks like mommy has a brother or sister on the way" OMG how big of a ding dong can you be? I told her no and decided that I will now live on water and rice for the next month.

Anyway, I just wanted to pop in an say "hi", vent a little and say how funny I found the farting thread. LOL You guys put a smile on my face today. Thanks

Geez!!! What an idiot! Sometimes it is best to keep your mouth shut! I am sorry you have had a crummy week. I do hope it gets better. Try not to work too hard...you need your rest to take care of K.

I am sorry you are having a rough week. I have been in the same boat with the working into the wee hours of the morning. But, at least if you get it out of the way tonight, you will have the weekend to get some rest and spend time with Kat.

As for the bag lady, I have seen pictures of you (From the chicago thread, I think) and you do not look PG! I on the other hand, could pass for at least 5 months PG, if not more. I SHOULD be on the rice and water diet!

Hope you get your work done quickly and the rest of the week goes better!

I hate putting things off but it really helps sometimes to know you have a couple extra days and a lot less stress! Kaitlin'smom replied: sorry your having a hectic week. I know how that can be. I still feel like I have so much to do and not any time to get it done....I need about a week off so I can feel like I got somethings done.

I cant believe the bag lady said that....even when I was 9 months and HUGE people were afraid to ask if I was expecting (those who did not know me). In fact I remember running into a local radio personality and she looked at me and I said yes I am expecting...she said I thougth so but I was afraid to say anything.

I hope things get better for you and slow down.

kit_kats_mom replied: Thanks for all of the nice comments ladies. I actually had a pretty good sense of humor about it but geez. The funny thing is that the bag lady weighed like 250+ and you would think that being a big girl, she might know how sensitive weight can be. Booo on her.

I called the people who I promised stuff to and explained the situation, I told them that I will work on it this weekend and it should be in their inboxes on Monday am. They were very understanding. My mom just called and has a couple of free hours today so she will come over to help out a little bit which is great.

Once I get this deadline met, i may have a little more free time to post.

to the bag girl! someone said that to me once when AF was visiting and i only weighed about 110lbs at the time you should ask her if she is having twins!
