what does your toddler sleep in?

ediep wrote: I have no idea how to dress Jason for bed anymore. The pj's that I bought for the summer are long pants, long sleeves, no feet. I am starting to think that it is too hot for that. We have central air and it is on, he also has a ceiling fan in his room, but his room has a huge window and it gets really warm during the day. He doesn't sleep with any covers on. What do you Do?

alice&arik replied: Lately I just put a big t-shirt on Arik. It is pretty cool in our house. Or I put his pajama sets on, they are pretty thin though. His sleepers are way too hot though.

dolfinrse replied: We have the air on too, so I still put long sleeve pajamas and a light onesie in case the back rides up he doesn't catch a draft. The pajamas we use are Carters and they are pretty lightweight.

MommyToAshley replied: Ashley has DH's blood... she is always hot. She will not sleep without the AC on and in the winter I can't turn the heat above 68. SO, I put her in light jammies with feet and crank up the AC... all the while I freeze! rolling_smile.gif

amynicole21 replied: Sophia usually just wears a onesie, sometimes the pants from one of her pajama sets.

Jamison'smama replied: Jamison sleeps in a short sleeved t-shirt and short pajama set- the kind they have at gap and Carters I think. She also sometimes sleeps in the carters 2 piece short sleeved top and long pants that snap together at the waist to prevent ride-ups--lightweight set.

Oh and she does have that wonderful nightgown in the picture below smile.gif

MomToJade&Jordan replied: I usually throw a onsie and a pair of shorts on Jade. She just generates heat when she is sleeping so I try not to dress her too warmly. The AC is usually on 66 here. DH is a furnace as well. Guess who is always cold. LOL!!!!

coasterqueen replied: Kylie gets hot so easily. If I'm not careful, she'll soak the bed in sweat. rolleyes.gif So she sleeps in either really light weight nightgowns, lightweight capri type short-sleeved pj sets, short sleeved shorts pj sets or just a diaper. Depending on what's clean at the time, lol.

I just bought her 2 short sleeved short pj sets at Walmart tonight. She grows out of clothes so fast I can't see waisting money on expensive ones, lol.

lsjulee replied: Whether in shorts or long pants, they will have to put on socks to sleep. happy.gif

alice&arik replied: Wow, this is all so weird. During the day Arik has to nap with a blanket, like a thick quilted one. But we do have the AC on, and he is fully clothed. I can't believe some kids like it so cold, our AC never goes below 70, and at night it is usually 74. But our house is brick so that may keep it cooler too.

paradisemommy replied: well we don't turn our a/c on unless we are completely dying which is maybe the month of sept. otherwise we just have the windows open and ceiling fan going. depending on how hot/cold it is, taven either wears just a real light t-shirt onesie or those pj sets with the snaps in the middle that are fairly light. he won't sleep with any covers and will kick off even the lightest little sheet but is also a little heater tongue.gif

Kirstenmumof3 replied: It's still pretty chilly here in the evenings so I still have Claudia in sleepers. I do have a few pair of short sleeved light pj sets that she will wear when/IF it ever gets hot! wink.gif

booey2 replied: Well both boys just like to sleep with either a diaper or underwear, doesn't matter what I put on Thomas he has it off by the time I turn around. Matthew will wer pj's before bed and then take thme off also.

DansMom replied: Daniel seems the most comfortable in long jammie pants but short sleeve top---I have one pair of jammies like that. The onesies that he has with some leg also seem good, and short pants jammies work too. I usually turn off the air at night and open the windows. Michigan is hot and humid during the day, but pretty cool at night. He won't tolerate even a sheet covering his legs.

Jamison'smama replied:
Me neither--I get hers at a huge consignment sale I go to twice a year in Tulsa ---I don't like spending money on pajamas although I am a junkie for them---we always have pajama and lotion time as part of her routine--I love a baby in jammies.

coasterqueen replied:
LOL. I'm kinda a pj freak too. tongue.gif That's cool you can find a really big consignment sale to go to. I usually go to this one in town I absolutely LOVE every month and get a few things here or there.

I sometimes feel like a bad mommy because 3/4 of Kylie's clothes in her closet are consignment shops clothes, lol. She just grows too fast, stains them beyond repair (lol) and I just can't afford them when I want to buy Gymboree, etc. LOL. I make sure I get really nice looking clothes at the shops too. I get comments all the time about this outfit's cute, etc from people and they are shocked when I say they are consignment buys. LOL.

I figure when she get's old enough to say "mom, I don't want somebody else's clothes" then I'll stop. blush.gif But until then I'll spend that money I could have spent on clothes on toys and other stuff for her, lol. At this age I don't think she gives a care about what she's wearing anyways, lol.
