scattytart wrote: i was just wondering wat sizes the mums here where and what they wore before giving birth blush.gif

CosmetologyMommy replied: Before birth, I was like a 13/14......now.....16/18.......... wink.gif

fashionmumofboys replied: Before birth I was 7/8 now I'm still 7/8

Mommy2Andrew replied: before, I was 3-5... now, i'm 7-9

moped replied: Before PG I was a 12, now I am about a 10

mom2tripp replied: Before Tripp 6-8 now 6-8

zdk753 replied: Before I got pregnant I was a size 3. Now I'm a size 10.

coasterqueen replied: Before Kylie I was like a size 12 I think if I remember correctly, lol. Then I got down to a size 6/8 right before I got pg with Megan. After Megan, currently I'm a size 10/12

scattytart replied: well i was just wondering as in uk im a size 10 which is probley a size 3 in the us as we have different sizes. I wanted to know as my docter seems to think i am over weight and this offended me as i dont belive i am fat.

gr33n3y3z replied: before kids 6 now 6/8

moped replied:
How can that possibly be over weight - how tall are you?

luvmykids replied: size 4 then and now

PrairieMom replied:
Okay. Here is how medical professionals figure out ideal body weight.

For women: if you are 5 feet your IBW is 100 lbs. for each additional inch, add 5 pounds. So, I am 5'4 and my Low end IBW is 120.

I don't agree with this necessarily, becuase before i got PG I weighed 135. That is High end normal for me, and I am a small person. I wear a size 7 pant.

When I gave birth to The Boy I was 200 lbs, but I was back to my normal weight 10 months later. A lot of my problem was fluid.

moped replied:
YIKES - that means I better get losing more weight then

scattytart replied: i am around 5'4.

do you think im overweight blush.gif

luvbug00 replied: I don't think your over wieght! hug.gif

I'm not going to list mine blush.gif

scattytart replied: happymom, dont be blush.gif no matter what size you are your still beautiful, if you put on weight after you gave birth just think what that few extra pounds bought into your life, (a beautiful daughter, who you fill so much love for) biggrin.gif you dont look fat in your avatar.

ediep replied: I was a 2 before i had jay, now three years later I am a 4

My3LilMonkeys replied: I was a size 14 before Brooke, a size 16 before Madison and an 18 about a month after she was born. I am currently a size 12 biggrin.gif and hope to be in an 8 before I'm done.

MyLuvBugs replied: Before pregnancy with Lorelei a VERY small size 10, Almost an 8. After giving birth....18. It took a year, but I finally got back downto a 10, but not at small as I was. I'm hoping to NOT get so big this timearound. smile.gif

BAC'sMom replied: Before kids size 3, now size 8-10. But I' working on it! thumb.gif

My3LilMonkeys replied: I googled size conversions and it looks like a UK size 10 is about an 8 here in the US. To me at 5'4" and a size 8 you are probably not fat but it is hard to guess.

huggybugboy replied: Before Miles I was a 10-12. Somehow, I'm a 4-6 now. Must be the breastfeeding that did it, cuz Lord knows I eat like a cow.

ions_momma replied: I was a 3 before I had Ion, and now I am back to a size 3

3_call_me_mama replied: So my IBW would be 140 !!! UM I woudl look anorexic!!! Seriously. I've 5'8" so 100lbs plus 5*8=40 so 140. NO WAY I knwo I'm overweigth but not that overweight. My Dr told me I should be around 160-165. That's 25lbs difference! WOW> ANYWAY< Still no where near that/ Before cameron size 16 (14 on a good day) now 16 (somedays not so comfortably) LOL>

luvmykids replied:
ITA .... I'm at my "ideal" bw and everyone tells me I look anorexic all the time. And I eat everything in site all the time.

CantWait replied:
You just had a baby, so why is this even a thought right now. dry.gif

CantWait replied: If you are a size 8 US, then I would say you might have a little extra weight, but not overly obese, and you were just pregnant. I use to be a size 9 before Anthony, and I'm 5'8". I was satisfied with the way I looked but I had a small pouch. Now I'm a 16, and I'm not obese, but I do need to lose 35 pounds. I really wouldn't worry about it to much.

CAMSMOM1 replied: I read all your posts, and the average is sizes 4-10!!!! You guys are skinny!

Now I'm afraid to post my sizes! huh.gif Before Cameron I was a 14-16...just depended on the pants. I was happy at a 12-14.

After Cameron I was a 14-16...because of the breastfeeding. After I stopped breastfeeing, I jumped up to I a size 18-20!!!! noooooo.gif

According to IBW charts, I'm OBESE! rolling_smile.gif

But I agree with the other ladies, it's to soon for your doctor to push losing weight on you. You just had a baby! And if you breastfeed, you will burn A LOT of calories!
After I gave birth, 2 weeks later I lost 25 pounds of water weight, from fluid retention. So it's way to soon to be thinking about your weight. Your doctor's crazy IMO. You have plenty of time later on to thinking about it. Give your body time to adjust.

Insanemomof3 replied: Before ALL kids, I was about size 4...now after my kids, I am size 12. sleep.gif

Hillbilly Housewife replied: Before my first baby, I think I was a size 4/6... depended on the cut of the clothes I guess, cuz I had some stuff size 2. happy.gif

After my 1st, I was wearing size 10...

after my second, i was wearing size 12...then back down to size 10...

now, I'm in size 12, but I was a 14...went up to size 18 while I was pg. My mom was fat before - so she gave me a lot of clothes. emlaugh.gif

I'm working my way to a size 10 though.... wink.gif

scattytart replied: my doctor at hosptial thinks a put on to much weight during pregnancy and he is concerned about the after effects of the fast weight gain. I was fine during pregnancy, but he seems to think i need to lose some weight. in the uk most people are a size 8-10 even celbs and we see a 10 to be the perfect weight. but i must admit size 10 is becoming a pain to get into blush.gif My docter has told me that i have 6 months to lose my baby bolg, i then i need to arrenge a checkup with my docter to see if my weight is to what it should be, I actully think now that i have stopped whinging about it to my husband, that he was going by wat i weigh no what size clothes i wear. WOOOOOOOOPPPPPPPPPPPSSSSSSSSS blush.gif i should be on average around 8 stone 5 to 9stone but i weigh 9stone 9 which i guess is over weight before pregnancy i was 8 stone 2 blush.gif

holley79 replied: I wore a 13 juniors before I got pregos. Now i"m not sure, I'm still in stretchy clothes that are comfortable. rolleyes.gif

kimberley replied: pre pg i was about a 6 or 8 depending on the fit. i just put on my size 9 jeans yesterday and they fit but are a bit snug.

coasterqueen replied: I just want to add one thing about sizes......sizes are so not really an ideal measurement IMO. It's all about your build. I know many women that weigh more than me but are in smaller sizes than me. I have broad hips and too much junk in my trunk (lol) causing me to need to wear larger sizes in pants. So I could be wearing a size 10/12 and weigh less than Jan down the street who wears size 8.

So please don't pay attention to sizing of clothes....I know I have to remind myself that ALL the time. rolleyes.gif

MamaJAM replied: Before kids I was a size 6 -- that was 14 years and 5 kids ago....let's just say I'm not a size 6 anymore!

SOUTHERN MOMMY replied: rolling_smile.gif rolling_smile.gif rolling_smile.gif

There is no way in H-E DOUBLE HOCKY STICKS i would ever tell anyone the answer to this question blush.gif

I'll just put it this way my size was never mentioned in this conversation which leads me to believe i am bigger than anyone else here unless someone is streching the truth which knowing all of you i dought that.

My2Beauties replied: Before Hanna I was a size 3, I'm stil a size 3. I was a 5/6 right after I had her for about 3 motnhs and I lost it little by little. I am just small framed.
