why is my baby so HUGE?
DillsMommy wrote: Peyton just turned 4 months old today and he already weighs 19 and a half lbs and is 27 in. long! Is this normal? To me he seems HUGE. He can also wear some 12 month old clothes!
MyBrownEyedBoy replied: Aw, he'll slow down. But he's adorable.
DillsMommy replied: Lol, I sure hope so. I bet he turns out to be the younger brother that is bigger than his older brother.
bawoodsmall replied: Some babies are just bigger. Emily was like that. She weighed almost 17 lbs by the time she was 2 months. They do slow down but prob not anytime soon. He is such a cutie.
Kirstenmumof3 replied: Awww what a cutie! I wouldn't worry about his weight, Emily was always big for her age always way off the growth chart, Spencer was in the middle and Claudia was in the 5th percentile.
DillsMommy replied: His doctor doesn't seemed concerned so I guess thats a good thing. I think he's in the 95th percentile. And he already has two teeth! I'm pretty sure I gave birth to a toddler instead. I was really hoping for a tiny baby too. Ya know, one that would fit into his clothes for more than a week.
Calimama replied: Wow he weighs almost the same as Miabella (she just broke 20lbs)!! I'm sure he's normal, just big and VERY cute.
A&A'smommy replied: haha I LOVE a big baby.. my two favorites at the daycare are big blue eyed boys and you know what they are a LOT happier than the other babies.. I'm sure that is just a coincidence... but the 4 month old is the same size at the 6month old or bigger. I keep thinking I want a small baby this time around but I think I want a big blue eyed boy (I want one of my kids to get my eyes)
He is such a cutie pie!!! BTW when do we get new pictures
DillsMommy replied: Aww, thanks guys! One of my favorite things about him is his BLUE eyes. I absolutely love them. Dylan has my brown eyes, so when I was pregnant I was REALLY hoping for him to have daddy's blue eyes. And I was just thinking that I need to post new pics, I'll try to get around to that soon.
lovemy2 replied: Aww he is a big strong boy to fit into that big strong name - he will be fine -
luvmykids replied: Colt was huge too...95 percentile from two months to a year
PrairieMom replied: Just a big boy. Ben was that size at 9 months, Al is that size now at 18.
3xsthefun replied: He is just a big boy! He is too cute! Ryan weighed over 18 lbs when he was 4 months. I'm not sure how much he weighs now. I'm thinking probably over 20 lbs now.
My2Beauties replied: Hanna was the same way, she was always between the 90-95th percentile for everything, she was sooooo chunky! She fit 6-9 month clothes when she was like 3-4 months old. Aubrey on the other hand is smaller, she is average on everything, except height, she's short when it comes to height. All babies are different, I was sure with how big Hanna was that Aubrey was going to be even bigger, but nope...she's my little one! She fits clothes to the tee when it comes to sizes, like she is 7 1/2 months now, still wearing 6-9 month clothes and won't be outgrowing them anytime soon! She can still even wear some 3-6 months
wcs40110 replied: wow... mines 15 months 19.5lbs, 29 inches. He sounds fine though!
My3LilMonkeys replied: Madison has always been big too. At her 2 year check up she was off the charts in both height and weight - 37 in tall and 39 1/2 lbs - about the size of an average 4 year old. Some kids are just built big!
