I agree; if it's too cold outside, walk around the mall or some other place with lots of space (our school here has times in the morning when people can walk the hallways during the winter months). You could enjoy lots of people watching, or maybe stop in a book store for a break, and enjoy a story together. Not sure what you have in your area, so it would depend. But if you do prefer the outdoors, there's no reason why you can't bundle her up really good and go outside during the winter. You just might have to take several short walks, instead of one long one (if it gets really cold).

jdkjd replied: Ok for one, so jealous that you are worrying about winter already (100 degrees here yesterday) we can't go outside hardly ever because it's so dang hot.

But have you ever seen the pictures with the little kids bundled up so much that their arms stick out?? I know Ryan (DH) LOVED going outside when it was cold when he was little. She might like it. And once you start playing chase or hide and seek, she'll be sweating anyway.

So personally, I'm enjoying the heat for as long as it lasts. Usually only about 3 1/2 months. Shorter this year - it was chilly last night. Winter can wait a little while longer......even if I'd rather be cold than hot: You can pile on the blankets, but you can only get so naked....

We usually walk nightly but since it's been so hot and I sling Kylie we haven't do it for a few weeks. She hates the stroller and when I sling her it's double the heat, which is miserable for the both of us!

She gets out every morning at the sitter, though, when it's a bit cooler.

On the other hand I really don't want winter to arrive, either. I hate it when it's too cold. I would rather have spring and fall!!!

MomofTay&Sam replied: I am in NY and yes it's getting chilly at night! I was in the catskills(almost in Canada) a few days ago. Sammy was wearing sweatpants, 2 shirts and socks until about 2 pm each day! I didnt think to bring a coat??? LOL I am dreading winter here too. The winters are unbearable and we get ALOT of snow. No ughplace to even use a stroller with all that snow. Who wants to even attempt the streets going to the mall. I am going to have to start thinking of what we will be doing!

It's hotter than H*** here, and we have been housebound for about 4 months (May due to allergies, June, July, August due to heat) so I am ready, ready, ready for FALL!!! Can't wait!! We only have 2 months of acceptable weather in the fall and 2 months in the Spring here.
HATE IT!! Need to move somewhere where it's cool, but not super cold.
