be stuck in the mountains with enough water and mountain berries (or whatever grows in the mountains that you can eat) till you were rescued?
remember, if you choose the island it's beautiful and all but very hot and if it storms there is no shelter and if you try to swim for it there are sharks but if you choose the mountains then it can get very cold and there are mountain lions and other dangerous animals around too.
in either case you'd be rescued at some point and would have enough water to drink till the rescue.
i don't know why i'm asking this, probably because the movie "The Beach" with Leo DiCaprio is on...i remember watching this movie when it came out in the theatres and i just loved the scenery.
i would choose the island for sure because i'm very into the whole tropical island thing but i do like the mountains also.

1. I cant STAND the cold.
2. I love tropical fruits
3. It's easier to cool myself down then warm myself up.
4. I wouldnt feel shut in because I would have the ocean views.
5. I could build shelter out of trees, etc.. well my husband can.. they teach them all those surival skils in the marines right?

mckayleesmom replied: I would choose the moutains.....Last month I would have chose the Island...but I watched one of those Survivor man type shows and they put him in a tropical island once and there are some nasty bugs and diseases you could catch. There were also red ants he got bit up by really bad and Im allergic.

MyBrownEyedBoy replied: I'd choose the mountains. No question. I love water, but being surrounded by it and being hot would not be my first choice. I HATE being hot. My philosophy is I can always put on more clothes. There's a limit to how much you can remove. And this even applies to a deserted island. There are certain places I do NOT want sunburned.

PrairieMom replied: Island. I have personal experience with both Mountain life and beach life, and while the mountains are beautiful, and I love going there, the beach just stirs different feelings in me. GIve me the beach any day!

grapfruit replied: Even w/the bugs and stuff, I'd still say Island all the way!!! I love the sun and stuff, and I don't know, I think it'd be a little easier... More things to catch and eat if your creative enough.

BTW; I've seen that movie too and I really liked it! I also liked the Tom Hanks movie where I'm having a brain fart and can't think of the name of it but he has the volleyball and is (duh) stuck on an island.... Oh crap, I'm such a retard...

C&K*s Mommie replied: an island. Cannot handle being cold for very long, and mainly because of coconuts being the "tree of life" and can help in many ways.

The Man vs Wild show on Discovery showed the survivalist "Bear" (not sure of his last name) on a deserted island and he showed some basic things to do in order to stay alive.

I could not make it alone in the mountains with the cold. And I would be scared to death of being attacked by animals. Well that sentence isn't a very good example of why Id choose the island, there's animals there too...

Plus I'd love to go somewhere warm and tropical too!
