The ultimate All-In-One fitted cloth diaper, simple to use, and another great performer! Winner of many awards and voted best re-useable diaper by Mother & Baby Magazine.
User Submitted 5 Pack Ultra "All-In-One" Cloth Diaper Variety Pack - Toddler Size Reviews February 18, 2008 Disposable to Cloth I was a doubter that a busy mother could handle the added work of cloth diapers. I pictured pins and rubber pants and soak throughs. I have two babies in diapers and luckily they both fit into the toddler size Kushie diapers. There are no pins and the diapers don't soak through if you change often as you should anyway. Now I can't believe I spent all that money, time, and energy on disposables!
Once you get the diapers you will learn all kinds of time saving tricks to clean them. The Kushie care insert recommends you soak the diapers in water after dumping the contents into the toilet. The problem is that the contents may not dump especially if your baby is eating pureed food. I found that if I waited a few hours and the diaper dried out, the contents fell out more easily.
February 15, 2008 Love These Diapers After reading an article about what disposable diapers are doing to our environment, I did a little research on cloth diapers. I have two daughters under the age of two, so I wanted something that worked and worked well... And I found it in these diapers. They are great. They wash great, they dry great, they NEVER leak, and they are all around great. Everyone trying to make the earth a little greener should go this route, not to mention the amount of money that they would save if they used these from birth!!!
February 24, 2006 OK as back-up diapers I have been cloth diapering my 9 month old son since the day he was born. I did a lot of research on cloth diapers and have spent a lot of money on them... my son hit some serious growth spurts and we went through four sets of diapers by the time he was five months! During one of these growth spurts, I realized that I really didn't have enough diapers (and I dreaded spending any more money) so I purchased a pack of the Kushies All In Ones. They are definitely cost effective, which is great. The All In One feature is nice for laundering but I found them too bulky (I had difficulty fitting his clothes over them) and they never fit properly around my son's waist and legs causing leaks. They aren't terribly absorbant... one good pee and then they're done!
In my experience, they are OK diapers. If you want something more absobant that keeps the moisture off of your baby's skin, look for Fuzzi Bunz with hemp inserts - they are awesome!
October 25, 2005 Kushies made cloth diapering easy I will start by saying I have only used the Toddler size since my daughter was in disposables until a few months ago. I had looked into cloth diapering earlier - I have several friends who do it and explained it but it seemed like a lot of extra work. I was already doing a ton of laundry - who had time to do more? Then I did a calculation of how much I spent on diapers in a month ~ $120. We change our daughter every 2 hours except overnight so we go through a LOT of diapers. So I did some more research and decided to try the Kushies AIO. I invested in one 5-pack figuring that would last one day and if it was too much work, then I wouldn't be completely bankrupt over it. Using these has made cloth diapering SO EASY. I now have 20 Kushies, so I do a wash when I have about 5 left. I rinse the diaper out after use, put into a dry pail, then wash with a little detergent and vinegar and have had no problems with staining or odor. As for the drying time, I stick a dry towel in with them and it really helps. I also fold them inside out and it helps too. I run the dryer once then line dry the rest of the way (in my basement of all places). They usually are dry by the end of the day. We do still use a disposable for overnight. The other plus of these is that my daughter is now more aware of when she has gone and I am hoping that will help in the potty training. AND I no longer spend $120 on diapers every month!
May 18, 2005 Ok for the novice cloth diaperer, easy learning curve I started out diapering my son with Kushies Ultra AIOs when he was about three weeks old. I didn't like them because:
1. They took EONS to dry.
2. They leaked out of the legs. My son has fat little thighs and they still gaped.
3. My son got horrible diaper rash from the cold, clammy wet cotton being up against his bum.
The only thing I like about Kushies is that they are easily accessible to people who might be interested in cloth diapering but really have no idea where to start.
Long story short, I ebayed them and bought Fuzzi Bunz. We are both so much happier! Fuzzi Bunz are more adjustable, not much more expensive, and dry in just a few hours of hanging indoors. And the pesky diaper rash went away with the Kushies!
April 11, 2005 A GREAT LITTLE DIAPER I LIKE THESE DIAPERS A LOT! THEY FIT WELL AND LEAKS ARE RARE...USUALLY OVER NIGHT IF IT HAPPENS. WE HAVE FOUND THAT IF YOU PUT A WASHABLE LINER INTO THE DIAPERS AT NIGHT IT ALMOST ELIMINATES LEAKS ALL TOGETHER. THEY DO TAKE A LONG TIME TO DRY, SO YOU NEED TO CONSIDER THIS WHEN WASHING THEM. ALSO, I HAVE NOTICED SOME BREAK DOWN OF THE COVER BY THE WASTE BAND AFTER SEVERAL MONTHS OF USE. THEY STILL WORK; BUT CAN CAUSE AN IRRITATION ON OUR SONS ABDOMEN IF NOT WATCHED. I HAVE NOT TRIED ANY OTHER BRAND; SO I HAVE NOTHING TO COMPARE IT TO. BUT I THINK IT IS SO IMPORTANT TO DO EVERYTHING THAT CAN BE DONE TO HELP THE ENVIRONMENT AND THIS IS A GREAT START.
March 31, 2005 Wouldn't recommend this cloth diaper system. I bought 3 dozen of each size to cloth diaper my daughter.
Pros: 1.No diaper cover needed.
Cons: 1.Drying takes FOREVER 2.Didn't see the savings (from running the dryer 2-3x each load) 3.Big Time diaper rashes. Even though I frequently changed my baby. 4. Constant leaking out the sides of diapers, urine and BM's
After discovering Fuzzi Bunz and Wonderoos (one size pocket diapers). I Ebay'd all my Kooshies. And couldn't be happier. I wouldn't recommend this diaper system. Look into Fuzzi Bunz or Wonderoo's you'll be much happier.
September 7, 2004 Great Diapers I love these diapers. Easy to use and do not leak except sometimes overnight. But my little one is a heavy wetter. Use the stay dry liners and this really helps to reduce the leaking. Everyone should use these.
June 14, 2003 Love These Diapers... I have been using Kushies cloth diapers since my baby was born 8 months ago and love them. They are very soft on her, unlike the "paper" feel of disposables. They wash very easily using a little detergent and vinegar (and no fabric softener (fabric softener can remove some of the absorbancy)). Eight months later and my diapers are still stain-free and work like a charm. They even look new, despite the numerous washings they have endured. I tried a few other brands of cloth diapers when my baby was born but was most pleased with these -- they were softer, leaked much less, and held up in the washer the best. I will use these for future children as well.
January 22, 2003 Better than disposables! I switched to cloth for environmental reasons and for the safety of my baby, so she wouldn't have all those questionable chemicals next to her delicate skin that you find in disposables. I thought I would be pinning and using plastic pants... Was I surprised to find what is out there now! I actually am still using the size medium but this product by Kushies is just wonderful and I wholeheartedly recommend to every new mom. I used disposables in the beginning and these are far superior. I never had a leak problem with them. I plan on using only cloth from now on!!!
