Great distraction!
MY 4 month old likes his sea dreamer. He doesnt usually fall asleep with it though, if it is on and he isnt totally asleep he wakes right up and talks to it.

The bad part is that my remote doesnt work very well, especially when I need it the most, like when he wakes up a little I cant just peak my head in and turn it on I have to go in and turn it back on manually which means he sees me and then wants to get up. The times it does work however are great he goes right back to sleep.

All in all I like it, more as a distraction so I can get a few more things done around the house before he starts to really cry.

Good
This product is pretty good. I like that the fish move across the screen - seems to be better than the Fisher Price one. However, the fish do stop moving during the stage 2 when the music gets softer which I don't like. Also the straps to hook onto your crib are not long enough. If you have a standard, thin edged crib it will work fine. But my crib has about a 2"-3" top edge that it will not go around so I have it sitting in the crib which is hard for my baby to see unless laying sideways. That's my biggest complaint about it. Otherwise it runs smoothly, the music and sounds are nice.

It's almost perfect.
I bought this after I returned 3 malfunctioning mobiles. I really wanted a mobile, as my son loved to watch the rotating toys above his head and would kick his legs and "dance." This, however, had all the other features I wanted (remote, lights, timer, interesting detail) and I really like all the other Baby Einstein products I have. So far the biggest plus is it works! The 25 minute play time is a huge plus, as it often takes him at least that long to fall asleep. I love how it softens in 10, 10, and 5 minute intervals. The motion is bright and fun and my son seems to enjoy it.

My 5 month old son loves it. I put him in his crib, turn it, and he knows it's time to sleep. He doesn't even fuss. If I peek at him from the door, I see him watching it and fingering the moving fish.

My complaints are this: It's LOUD. There are 2 volume settings, and the "quiet" one is quite loud. My son doesn't seem to mind at all though, so I guess I shouldn't. But it's also the motor that moves the aquatic image that is rather loud. But again, the baby doesn't seem to care. My only other complaint is that the remote control only functions for 2 hours after it turns itself off. So if I want to turn it on in the middle of the night, or if I forget until I've already crossed the room, I have to go the crib to turn it on. I suppose they are trying to save battery life, but they could at least make it an option. I have several battery powered toys that I leave in standby mode all the time and the batteries still last a couple months. If I had known this feature, I wouldn't have bought it. But I'm so sick of returning these things. If the remote worked at all times, I would have given it 5 stars. (Oh, and I wish it was a mobile!)

Love the 25 minute play, however a little too bright
I bought this for my 3rd child. I have pretty much every crib soother on the market. I was drawn to this one because of the long music play-25 minutes. 10 minutes of music, motion and lights, followed by 10 minutes of softer music, lights with no motion and then followed by 5 minutes of soft music with no lights or motion. Every other soother we had the music was under 10 minutes and baby would not be asleep yet and would be frustrated when it turned off. This works great at nap time. However at night, and especially in the middle of the night, the light is way too bright. It practically blinds my baby when it gets turned on. It looks like he is in a tanning bed. If they was a way to turn down the light, then the soother would have gotten 5 stars from me.

Buyer Beware...I had two soothers break on me in the first month!
I purchased this soother as soon as it came on the market. I was impressed with the images and the remote control. The sound is a bit loud - I wish there was a volume control, but the underwater images are really impressive and the sounds and classical music is great. When I opened the package, the plastic was scratched but I decided to keep it. However, after only 2 days of using the product, the images stopped moving. I returned it, hoping that it was just a faulty product. When I received my replacement, it worked for about 2 weeks, and then not only did the images stop working, the entire soother would shut off after 2 seconds (images, lights and sound). By flipping the switch to sound only, we could hear the sound. Well, if I wanted sound only, I would have bought a CD player! So, we returned it a second time. Not worth trying for a third - I'm going to find another product that is better quality.

Baby Loves Worth the Money
Even though this crib toy is a bit pricey...my baby loves it, went to sleep without being rocked for the first time...the remote is awesome...our room is directly across from the nursery and the remote works from there...will be great at night. Highly recommend!!
