User Submitted Baby Trend Galaxy Sit N' Stand Stroller Reviews October 15, 2008 Sit & Stand Stroller I love the sit & stand stroller! All of my children love it also!! It got here fast and in great shape! I would def. buy more from you! Thank you so much!
October 7, 2008 Baby trend Galaxy This stroller is good, is perfect for me and my childrens, is not heavy, funcional and easy assembler. My friends like this stroller, they called nice and beatiful.
September 13, 2008 We love this stroller After reading these reviews helping a friend, I have to comment. First, the front seat does recline. It doesn't lay flat but it reclines and my two year old has taken many a nap in it. Second, if you're concerned about your older child not being able to sleep in the back half then you are not in the market for a sit and stand, you need a double stroller! The sit and stand part is to give your older toddlers/preschool age children a break on long outings. Third, the basket is not the most easily accesible, yes, but it's large enough for a small diaper bag and sweatshirts for a family of five (you just might have to unsnap the sides to get it all back out). We've had this stroller for over a year and absolutely love it. My children (2, 4, 5 years old) all love it and I'll even admit I've put all three on the stroller at the end of a long day to make the trip back to the car easier.
September 3, 2008 IT FITS 3! As a mother of 27 month old twins and 9 month old baby I was desperate for a stroller that would fit all three of them and be compact and maneuvering at the same time. When I saw this on in Target I realized that this is a lifesaver for me, I finally can get out of the house with all three of them at the same time. The solution was easy - a baby comfortably sits in the front seat, one twin sits right behind her facing forward, and another twin stands on the step. It worked out just fine! They love it! Of course this is not the kind of stroller where kids can just relax and fall asleep in, but mine never slept in the stroller anyway. But this is a perfect transportation, when you need to be able to move around with 3 at the same time. Now I'm taking them to the stores, playgrounds, I'm even hiking with them, when before I was so limited. It's easy to fold, pretty light, not very compact when folded though. It's very easy to steer and maneuver and I tried it on the grass and mud and did great, unlike the Combi twin savvy that I've had before and it was very hard to push on grass. The basket is pretty big, again, after not being spoiled with the storage space on Combi, I thought this ones basket was just great, cup holders are very convenient too. Several moms of 3 commented on how clever the solution was with this stroller. I hope it helps you too.
July 15, 2008 Great for Extended Outings We've had this stroller for 18 months (since my youngest son was born). Our boys are 17 months apart. From day one (when the baby's car-seat was attached to the front) until now, it's been a great investment. Here are a few points to remember: 1. This is not what I'd call an "everyday" stroller. It is much too large/heavy for that. This is the stroller you'll want when you take the kids to the zoo, an amusement park, a long walk around the neighborhood, a full day in an international airport, or anywhere you know you'll be walking around for a few hours with two kids. It is NOT the stroller you want if you'll be in and out of the car every few minutes. I would not recommend it for people who have very small cars with little/no trunk space, or apartment-dwellers with a lack of closet space. 2. Yes, it is heavy, but in this case heavy=sturdy. We've used this stroller constantly with two rambunctious boys for nearly two years, and it's as good today as it was the day we bought it. 3. No, your older child will not be able to fall asleep in it. It is designed for the older child who may want to walk for a while, stand/ride for a while and sit for a while (I think boys are especially prone to this behavior). If you have an older child who wants to sleep every time the stroller comes out, this one is not for you. 4. The undercarriage is big enough to hold essentials: a few diapers, wipes, change of clothes and possibly even a potty (if it's a small one). But you won't get a whole bunch of toys down there. The basket is not easily accessible from the seating area, but it IS easily accessible from the sides. There are two side-fasteners that snap together/apart for easy access. 5. The parent cup holders are well-placed and there is a nice compartment for keys/change. I cannot speak to the child tray, as we never attached it and we don't use it. Overall, this is a fantastic stroller if used for what it is designed to do which is: accommodate two kids of different ages for a long spell of walking, riding, sitting and standing (but not sleeping for the older child). We've taken it on many vacations in the last 18 months and it's worth every penny I paid for it.
May 24, 2008 Awesome for trips to Disney!!! We bought this for our family trip to Disney. We have 3 & 6 yr old girls who are past the stroller stage, but we knew we'd need something for those long days at Disney. We also wanted something with a large basket for all of the items we carried during the day. This stroller delivered! It accomodated my 2 kids perfectly, and along with the great under carriage basket, it also has a sturdy parent tray that fit my digital camera (in a compartment between the cup holders) and 2 well designed cup holders that didn't spill a drop. It also folds up shockily easily! No hassels getting on and off trams, monorail, buses, and boats around Disney! Couldn't have asked for anything more. PLUS we purchased it from WalMart online for $109! Free ship to store! Best buy ever! We rolled it right up to the plane, it was placed onboard and then rolled away upon arrival w/no extra carry-on charges! You can rent strollers at Disney but the cost adds up, and you have to leave a deposit as well as stand in long lines to retrieve the strollers at each park, not worth the hassle-plus they don't accomodate all your stuff and your kids like this one. This is a great everyday stroller as well. I wish I had it a year ago when my youngest was still in strollers on a daily basis. Our kids loved it as well.
May 19, 2008 Wonderful stroller! I'm a mom of 3. A 6 year old, a 4 year old and a 3.5 month old. We originally bought the Chicco Cortina Travel system when we were expecting our 3rd child and used that for him till he was about 2 months. I hated that it was so bulky and heavy. Also, if you do not read the manual, you'll never get it open or the babyseat locked in place.
Well, we sold the Cortina and bought this one mostly because living in Chicago, we do have a lot of activities to go to. Museums, the zoo, Chicago festivals like The Taste. I remember going to these last year and of course one of the kids is going to get a lil tired and may want to sit down. So far, we've used this stroller a couple times and both older kids love it and the baby sits in the babyseat.
We love the parent tray and that the basket has little snaps so you don't have to remove a child from the bench when you want to access it.
True, the little button on the side of the carseat are a little bit hard to press in when you want to move the handle, but I'd rather have that than the heaviness and bulkiness of the Chicco Keylock carseat.
May 14, 2008 Great Stroller! I have had two other strollers before this one, and I have to say I LOVE this one...and so do my kids (a TALL 3 year old and a short 1 year old)!
Drawback 1: It is a bit long, but not as long as my GRACO one, so I hardly noticed. And it fits in the back of my Rodeo without a problem! Drawback 2: The basket itself is not the most accessible (it sits under my 3 year olds feet when sitting). However, if she is sitting in this position, turned towards the front, then I just put my things (bag, etc) on the standing/foot board.
Why do I love it so much? The kid's tray in the front not only swivels, but it can EASILY be taken off and put back on again. It is very convenient. I easily have room for both kids to sit and be comfortable without having to pay the prices for a REAL double stroller. Seriously, you can't beat the price for this stroller! It handles just fine, with the ability to lock the wheels to go straight or to drive "freely". The price is perfect and it was easy to put together. And, lastly, both of my kids love it, begging to ride it when we go places.
April 17, 2008 My kids love it, and I love it! My almost 3 year-old son loves this stroller. He sits and stands and jumps off and plays with the sunshade and makes faces at his baby brother. It weighs much less than the Graco/traditional variety double stroller. It's extremely easy to push. It is a bit longer than the Graco DuoRiders, but the Sit N Stand is nice and lightweight making for easier pushing and maneuvering in other ways.
We compared it to the Combi Sit and Stand, and what I've heard before is true. The BabyTrend front seat reclining does not interfere with the rear seatback as the Combi one does.
If you want your younger child to have complete 180 recline for naps, this stroller is not for you. However, as you can clip most infant seats onto the front of this stroller, naps are not an issue for our 4 month-old (been using it since he was born). It comes with a snack tray and some storage space underneath, accessible if you have your older child hop up for a bit so you can grab it or drop it in.
Very handy; I use it all the time!
March 16, 2008 The Best Baby Gear Since Sliced Bread When we found out that we were pregnant with our second, we knew that we had to find a stroller solution. Our first was 2 1/2 years old when our second was born. A double stroller was just too babish for our older child to ride in. My sister had her Baby Trend Sit-N-Stand for about a year and a half and loved it. So...We bought one too. It is great. I already had the Baby Trend Galaxy Travel System and was pleasantly surprised when the local baby store (Goore's) in Sacramento had the Sit-N-Stand in Galaxy. It is great! This stroller is actually lighter and easier to open than the stroller from our travel system. It is the best baby gear since sliced bread. Many people have commented to us on how "smart" this stroller is.
