Rebutting "Dangerous Product" review
My son is 16 months old, and he has been using this sheet since I brought him home from the hospital. I suspect that the consumer who claimed this is a dangerous product did not snap the sheet in completely. It comes with 8 snaps. My son was able to remove one snap here and there, but that's it. He sleeps beautifully on this sheet, and I love how easy it is to change. Make sure you buy several because there may be nights where you have to change the sheet more than once. ;-) I highly recommend this product.

The good outweighs the bad
Here's what I like about this product: it's easy to change, and it provides a leak-proof barrier between the baby and the mattress. Here's what I don't like: the snaps are not a great fit for my crib and sometimes come undone; one snap stopped working altogether; and the sheet wrinkles and is difficult to smooth out.

All in all, the good outweighs the bad. The sheet is particularly handy for newborns who might leak during the night, requiring sheet changes when you're half asleep. I only use it now when I know he is prone to leaking, such as when he is between diaper sizes. Otherwise, I use regular sheets. Put it on your registry.

great sheet
These are essential for night time or everyday. This sheet is so easy to change and you can even do it with baby in the crib! My only complaint...one of the snaps came off after several washes.

A must-have
Anyone who hates fighting with the crib bumper and hefting up the heavy mattress to change sheets and mattress covers in the middle of the night will LOVE these! I started using them with my second child and now that I'm expecting number 3 I've bought more. No complaints whatsoever - just an easy, convenient and quick way to keep baby's crib clean and fresh (even at 2 a.m.!)

Not a perfect fit for more robust, convertible cribs
I really do like the idea of this crib sheet. The only problem is that I have a very thick convertible crib (crib, toddler, full bed) and the corners are too big for the staps to secure to the snap. For now the sheet is secured to the slat beside the corner leaving about an inch of space not covered by the sheet...no biggy, worth it for the convenience. I plan to eventually replace the elastic closures with longer elastic pieces for a perfect fit.

The best alternative to changing sheets-highly recommend!
This has been the very best product ever! I have read the other reviews and I grossly disagree. I have used these for over 2 yrs with my son and now i have twins and I use them for them as well. I bought a few more recently and the quality is just as good...they changed the positioning of the snaps which is not as friendly to our new cribs, but I still make it work and it's WAY better than changing crib sheets...8 snaps and I am done! They wash well, never had a problem except on one of the elastic of the snaps my husband pulled way too hard on it and it broke...but that was totally his fault, if you unsnap it from the snap, not the elastic, it should last a long time. We've washed these over and over as my son would always leak through his diapers & my twin daughter spit up a lot when she was younger so sometimes several times a week (or more) we'd wash them and never has the sheet come apart from the plastic on the bottom. It is by far a great product and well worth the money! I highly recommend it.

To first-time parents: regular fitted sheets are difficult to change!
Before becoming a parent, I didn't realize that changing the fitted sheet on a crib mattress is much more difficult and time-intensive than changing one on an adult-sized mattress. For safety reasons, sheets on crib mattresses fit very tightly and have to be tugged vigorously to get on and off. To put a sheet on securely you have to take the mattress out of the crib, which can be tough because the mattress is wedged tightly against the bars of a crib-- and if you use a crib bumper, this process takes even longer. Finally, if you use the regular system of a fitted sheet + a waterproof mattress pad, there are two layers to change every time the sheets get soiled. The Ultimate Crib Sheet makes crib changes MUCH quicker and more convenient, mainly because the mattress doesn't have to be moved to get the sheet on and off. It also creates less laundry because there's only one layer to wash each time. As a new parent, I find that anything that saves your precious time is a huge asset.

As an added side bonus, this sheet can be used as a background for do-it-yourself infant passport photos when your baby is too young to sit up on his/her own and needs to lie down for a photo! Most crib sheets have cute patterns, which look nice normally but can't be used as a solid white background for those pesky passport pictures. I took (valid) passport photos of my baby lying in his crib on this sheet, looking up at his mobile and smiling.

Awesome Product ... but ... there are some drawbacks
This wonderful protective crib sheet will deliver just about everything you want ... but ... there are some relatively minor problems:
1. The "permanent" elastic straps will become grossly overstretched in about a year. (I guess this is to be expected, but here's a "heads up" anyway.)
2. The removable elastic straps (at the head and foot of the sheet) are hard to use if you have a dust ruffle on the crib. You'd need to cut two holes in the dust ruffle, if you wanted to use these straps. I do recommend using these straps, too, because some active babies manage to work their way under the sheet ... you really want to avoid this.
3. The plastic underside will tear in about a year. When this happens, you really need to replace the sheet. It's a safety concern as well as a compromise to the wetness barrier.

Notwithstanding the foregoing, this sheet will save you from those horrible middle-of-the-night crib-making sessions ... which makes it worth the price.

Extremely convenient and durable
I originally bought 2 of these crib sheets 3 1/2 years ago. I am finally writing a review because today, I again realized how wonderful these sheets are. First, they have lasted 3 1/2 years with no rips or tears and no problems with the snaps. If there are any stains, I just use a bleach pen to remove them. I wash each sheet at least every other week, if not more frequently...so they've made it through about 100 washings each. Second, the convenience is invaluable. My daughter has reflux and unfortunately throws up in her crib frequently. It is so easy to change the sheet in the middle of the night, I could not imagine trying to change a real sheet and fight with the mattress. I have done fairly well with alternating between the two, there are only a handful of times where I would have needed one more. Fabulous invention!

Couldn't live without them!!!
Sometimes you just don't know that you needed something until you have it! I complained to my sister about how many times I have had to change the crib sheets in the middle of the night (sometimes more than once in the same night) so that my child doesn't have to sleep on soiled sheets. She suggested that I purchase these sheets. They have been a real life saver. I placed the decorative fitted crib sheet on, just like always, then placed one ultimate sheet on top of another. So now in the middle of the night, there is no more lifting the mattress out of the crib to change it. If he soils one of the ultimates, then another clean one is beneath it. I have to make an effort to remember to wash my decorative sheet because it hasn't been touched for weeks. The snaps are very convenient. Thanks.
