Best design ever, but not up to my high expectations
We bought it because it's the only one in the market for up to 80 lbs w/5 point, and up to 100 lbs in booster mode. Much more sturdier and kid friendly than I though. Excellent side and head support.Very heavy and wide. Ideal for a captain chair in a minivan. 5 star rating in this.

Areas for improvement is the latch adjustment. Even pulling from the inside of the seat, the quick release attachment is too bulky and interfere with the back rest. After a long hard fight, you can get it tight. Removal is a snap thought. Excellent back strap LATCH. 4 star rating in this.

Areas to DRAMATICALLY improve, are the cup holder design, that once fully fit the seat, they open due to the pressure of the seat cushion itself. Not easy to fold or open. And the only low quality feature, is the cheap plastic buckle on the chest of the five point harness...miserable, and I'm fear it may break with the use. From my point of view, this piece is worth a recall due to the critical of it's function. 1 star rating on these two items.

This car seat rocks and is easy to install....
I was so nervous about purchasing this seat after reading all of the horror stories written on this and many other web sites. I currently own the Boulevard but was in the market for another seat. I installed the Frontier in a 2007 Volvo XC90. I didn't find that it was any more difficult than my Boulevard (which was a BREEZE!!!). The first thing I did was take a look at the seat and get a lay of the land...which you should ALWAYS do. Then I looked at the manual. It all seemed fairly straight forward. I used the anchors to install it in my 2nd row of seats. MY XC90 has a 3rd row. My husband did help me tighten the straps although that was only because I have a back injury (unrelated to the installation! :)) But it's very secure. I don't think I could move it an inch. The cup holders work well and my son seems to be happy in it. He's 2 and is a fairly tall boy. Over 36". So, I'm not sure where people ran into issues. If you can use your anchors then it will install very easily. So don't believe all the hype!!! I love it!!

Solid car seat/booster
This is a great solid car seat/booster. Easy to install. I feel that my daughter is very safe in this seat and wish I would have bought it to begin with. It will definitely grow with her. It is heavy so it wouldn't be good to use for switching between vehicles. Worth every penny!

Great car seat
Installation was much easier than I expected after reading previous reviews. High quality car seat, couldn't be more pleased with this purchase.

Britax carseat is worth the money!!!
The Britax Frontier car seat is the second Britax that we have. The first one is the Britax Marathon. They both are very good and safe.My sons love it. Also, we bought the Britax Roundabout for my niece as a gift. My niece love it too. She cries when she sit in the carrier but stopping crying once she sit in this carseat. It is amazing. The Britax product is a little bit expensive but worth the money.

Not worth the money
We bought the Frontier for my minivan and a Graco for $150.00(very similar set up) for my husband's truck. My son is usually with me and only rides with Dad twice a week.
I was disappointed in the Frontier. The straps twist and the buckles get turned around. The neck protector pads are chintzy and do little to protect my son's neck from being chafed by the straps.
If I had to do it again, I would save my money and buy two of the Graco seats. The straps on the Graco don't twist, the neck protectors are better and it doesn't have that annoying HUGS system.

Great car seat, but doesn't fit in all cars.
I awaited the arrival of this car seat excitedly since we previously owned a Britax Roundabout and we were very happy with it. However, much to my dismay, this car seat didn't fit in my Honda Civic very well. I have an older Civic and wanted to place it in the middle as to be in the safest spot (don't have side airbags). However, we couldn't get it tight enough. It kept slipping within the seat belt area, even though it was tight as could be. We even tried having the car technician install it. I believe that the hump in the middle seat of the car had something to do with it. It's a great car seat and well-made which is typical for Britax. However, we ended up buying the Graco Nautilus and it fit quite well. As the car technician said, "The safest car seat is the one that fits your car the best."

Quality Item
It's a solid product. A little difficult to install, but is there an easy one out there?

Great Car Seat
Our daughter is 2yrs. and she picked out her color of car seat and she loves the pink one! She asks to go for car rides all the time now. We pull in the driveway and she says lets go around the block. So my husband and I think she must love it!

Britax booster seat
This booster seat is everything I expected from Britax. Substantial, sturdy, and very secure. I find that the cup holders work great with the right size cup or bottle. My grand-daughter loves the pillowed head rest, the arm rests and the overall fit. This is our second Britax...loved the first Britax toddler seat also. Everyone I know that has or has had Britax products speaks very highly of them.
