User Submitted DaVinci Kalani Convertible Baby Crib - Cherry Reviews November 12, 2008 Great crib! Worth the price. I was lucky and my parents purchased this for me for my first child. The crib is just beautiful! It's very sturdy and my husband was able to put it together in an afternoon. In seven months I've only found one scratch, and we have cats and dogs and a busy household.
I like the fact that we'll be able to use this for many years. It may be pricey but if you consider the long run you'll save money (and the hassle) of having to purchase a toddler bed. (And it goes just great with the Zanzibar nursery theme!)
I'm expecting again and will be purchasing another DaVinci crib!
November 5, 2008 Beautiful Crib Great crib and not too hard to put together. All pieces came perfect. must follow directions and they're not the greatest. Very sturdy but does scratch easily. overall I love it.
October 12, 2008 Excellent Crib I was impressed to see that this is actually made from solid wood. It looks great and was straight forward to put together. Keep the baby monitor on or the door open-since they make the slat openings wide enough that a baby won't get jammed in, our little kicker has gotten herself in some awkward positions with each leg through a different slat. No worries so far of her getting hurt-I just pick her up, snuggle her for a few seconds and all is well. Overall I am really happy with this crib-Baby sleeps great having plenty of room to sprawl out.
October 6, 2008 Happy with this product Although our little bundle on joy isn' here yet, we are very happy with this product. At 6 months pregnant, I was able to easily put this together on my own. Other reviews were correct in saying that the pieces of wood scratch and dent easily, but since I had read these ahead of time, I knew to expect it and was as careful as possible to avoid this. I would highly recommend this crib.
July 12, 2008 Buy it! Buy it!
This product has a very good quality. It is very well designed and easy to assemble. The price is also excellent.
Avoid products from other name brands like Stork Craft Aspen!
June 23, 2008 Looks great! Well this crib is just as beautiful in person as it is online..It's sturdy, classy , and expensive looking...A great substantial piece of furniture that we will keep for years to come. With that being said, I should mention that what you hear about the wood being soft and scratching/denting easily is completely true! Just during the assembly process my hubby and I scratched it a couple of times! Also the directions could be laid out a bit better! All in all though, it is a great looking crib...
June 6, 2008 we like it took me about an hour to put it together. the pine wood is soft so dents fairly easy (shipping) we decided we could live with the dent, and the finish real is nice. the crib is real sturdy compared to some that we looked at. for the price it is well worth it.
May 23, 2008 expensive, bulky it's a nice crib, but it scratches easily. pine wood. would go with something harder like maple next time. shipping was ok. i don't like the current trend of this cheap do it yourself furniture, but to keep prices down, you have to do what you have to do.
January 10, 2008 Beautiful Crib This crib is a joy to use and have. It was really easy to assemble having at least 1 other person. The only thing you have to watch for is that the wood scratches really easily, so just watch where you place it if you are not planning to put it together right away.
December 13, 2007 Elegent and sturdy. It looks as good as it does in photos, and i am also satisfied with the quality of wood used. It was very easy to assemble. Its been only 2 months since purchase, I will have to see if it endures the wear and tear of day to day use and makes it into the toddler bed :-).
