With its turned legs and rails, this oak-lacquered, all-wood changing table looks like it belongs in the corner of an old-fashioned country kitchen more than in a modern nursery. But even if Mom doesn't wear lace-fringed gingham skirts or the house is steel-and-glass modern, this is a practical piece of baby furniture. Two large shelves provide ample storage for diapers and other paraphernalia. On top there's a 34-by-18-inch pad with a wipe-clean surface and a nylon restraining strap. The table is light enough to be movable but is still quite sturdy. --Richard Farr

A great changing table for the price
I bought this changing table with the matching Delta Jenny Lind crib from another store (shop around for the best price). When they arrived, my husband and I set up the changing table first. It was very easy for us to set up (although I think it would be quite difficult for just one person to do). I did feel like the wood was good to crack at times, as in some places it must be strained to fit together while you tighten the screws, but it held up in the end, and is actually much sturdier than it looks like it is going to be when you take it out of the box. Are there nicer, sturdier products out there? Absolutely, but you're going to pay for the difference. Overall, we are very pleased with the value of the product for the price.

However, as a side note, the oak crib did not match its "matching" changing table. The changing table is a nice reddish oak, while the crib was very blonde. We took the items back to exchange for a matching set, only to learn that the crib has been recalled. Please be aware of this if you are considering buying the set.

Nice for the price
I haven't had any problems w/ this changing table. I saw no reason to spend a lot of money for a changing table, but I wanted something durable. Yes, the shelves won't hold the Encyclopedia Britannica set, but it holds my supplies nicely (I keep stuff in baskets for organizational purposes). I have used this for over 2 years w/ no screws loosening or other issues. I have never used the belt that comes w/ it, so I can't speak to that. I did purchase padded changing pad covers to make that part more comfortable for my son.

top changing level broke and my child fell through!!! please read all of the reviews!
I've been using this changing table for 18 months with no problems until this morning my wiggly 25lb. daughter fell through! She could have been really hurt. The rail that the changing platform slides into gave out. On the purchase page on this web site it states for children 3 years old and under but when you get the box it states for 20 pounds and under! I'm guessing the average three year old has long since broken 20 pounds, my daughter was 20 pounds around 11 months and has always been in the 50th percentile. My advice is to spend a little more money on something more substantial so you don't have to spend a lot more money later replacing it or worse possibly on a doctors appointment for an injured child. Please take some time to read all of the reviews. There are so many complaints of cheap material, cracked wood, the pitiful 20# weight limit, bad instructions, screws that keep coming loose, missing parts, and warped panels. Many reviewers agree you get a cheap, poor quality table for a cheap price.

changing table
I do not understand what the hold up is. It was ordered on the 29th of December and they say it won't be delivered until March 2 or 3rd. Can you tell my why? It is on 2 day shipment delivery. Thank you

Good Table for a Good Price
I didn't see any point in spending $200 on a changing table I could only use for maybe the first year of my sons life. So I opted for this one, which can later be used as a book shelf or for storage. As cheap as you might think this table is, it is surprisingly sturdy and well made. It only took my husband about 30 minutes to put together. The changing pad is great because it is vinyl and very easy to clean up. The shelves are great for holding everything you need - I have storage bins which hold all my items and fit nicely on each shelf. The built in "seat belt" is great for holding my son in place as he is quite the wiggle worm. For anyone who wants to save a little money in the changing table department, I highly recommend this table. It also matches my Delta Natural Oak crib very well.

Careful for loosening screws
This changing table is better used on smaller babies. As the instructions point out, the weight limit is 20 pounds. That limits the time you can safely use this item. Our daughter is 27 pounds now and we're still using it but we often use the bed instead. This table works well for storing diaper supplies if you're concerned about baby's weight and safety but it is not a sturdy piece of furniture. The screws loosen periodically and need to be monitored for tightening. We have the same problem with a moderately priced baby glider. Spend the extra money on a better quality changing table if you plan to use it a long time.

Good Value - Poor Assembly Instructions
For the price, this is a great looking changing table. But I have to agree with the others in that this thing is difficult to assemble. For one, the directions are incomplete. It never mentions what to do with the washers and dowels. I did figure out where the dowels go from looking at a small picture on the materials page. The table also kept falling apart during assembly because the shelves aren't designed to fit into grooves on the ends. They only slide into side grooves so they kept slipping out. I'm pretty good at assembling furniture but this one, hands down, was one of the more difficult pieces to put together.

Well Worth the Money!
This changing table is great! It was very easy to put together. The instructions were very clear and to the point. It's extremely sturdy and matches my nursery decor. Although it does not appear to be as sturdy as the more expensive tables, it has more than held up to the challenge for my 5 month old!

Okay for little babies........
I bought this for my son. I thought it was a good product for a fair price. He has been using it for the past 8 months with no problems. But just yesterday I saw a sticker on the side of the strap that said the table had a 20 lb weight limit! I was surprised. My son almost weighs that and I don't want to buy another table now. Next time I will buy a more substantial one for more money that can be used longer.

Great product!
I think this changing table is fantastic for the price. It's sturdy and the color of wood is really nice. I only gave it 4 out of 5 stars because the changing pad is really too thin to be comfortable and some of the bars were damaged in shipment. I would recomend this table to anyone interested.
