A BEAUTIFUL bassinet - no issues!
we got this as a shower gift and had ZERO issues with it. Its a beautiful bassinet and sturdy unlike many of the other reviews. (maybe they already fixed the issues they were having?)

I would recommend this bassinet to other moms!!

I think this bassinet is beautiful
contrary to others reviews i love the bassinet. My husband bought the all cream one directly from babies r us and it looks and works wonderfully. I love the way the canopy drops down in order to put my daughter in. I do wish that they sold extra sheets but the benifits of rolling this bassinet from room to room (and yes it fits through doors) out ways the sheets not being available. buy this item at the store to avoid package problems!good luck!

Seriously Disappointed - don't buy!
This product looked so beautiful online. What a waste of money it was.
- It was very annoying to put together and it doesn't fit through doorways, so it needs to be assembled and disassembled in the room where it is used
- It was cheap materials - the "mattress" was so thin the baby was basically laying on plywood.
- The bedding fell apart when washed (ribbons frayed & they weren't attached high enough to hold the bumper to the frame beacause after the wash, the bumper sagged over into the bassinet)
- The way the canopy works is incredibly crappy - it's like a coat hanger
- I did find the round sheets but they were also threadbare and crappy
- My daughter outgrew it way before the manufacter suggestions - she wasn't very long, but always needed to be perfectly centered in the bassinet or else would touch a side

Beauty not durability....
I love this bassinette however when putting it together i became aware of the fact that it is not made very well. Infact one of the screws actually broke in half while putting it together so we just switched out the screws. Also the canopy part is a little akward it doesnt really fit well and its not very secure on its stand. Other than that it is a great bassinette and I love how beautifull it is.

Wonderful Bed and NO problems with mine
First, I hate to hear about all the problems with broken pieces shipped, I have shopped Amazon.com for a long time and have had lots of problems with damaged stuff in the past. Fortunately, I struck gold with this piece. I wanted a round bassinet and paying 500.00 at the local baby palace was not my idea of a good investment since this probably is my last baby... The price is good. One downfall is it has just one sheet and the shape isn't available in convenient stores like Babies R Us. However, someone did mention purchasing replacements at the Badger website, but 24.00 seems unreasonable. Instead what I do is use large sized receiving blankets (which are softer anyway) or large sized regular bassinet sheets and use the old fashioned clip on sheet straps under the mattress. Which brings me to the next point. The mattress is thin but,it should be because it makes it more firm and this is safer for the baby. They should lie flat and well supported, it is not as firm as a carpeted floor, so don't worry about the baby being uncomfortable. The bottom shelf does fall down but a little glue will secure it. The shelf IS NOT NECESSARY, it DOES NOT hold the legs together as a previous customer review stated... The bolts keep the legs very secured. It was also stated that the bed doesn't have wheels... Mine does. The only downfall with that, the bed doesn't fit through standard doorways. But that's fine for my baby, because she should learn that bedtime is in the bedroom. Naptime as well. The bed is very secure, very sturdy. Easy to assemble once you understand the directions it gives... LOL! I just think that some new mom's are under a lot of stress with hormonal shifts and may be lacking the humor of it all. (With exception to shipping damaged parts, that's never humorous).
Personal preference is the key to the game when raising a baby!
Good luck to all!

HORRIBLE - DON'T BUY!
I registered for this item & it was ordered for me by my mother-in-law. When I received the shipment, the circular framing of the bassinet was broken. I contacted BRU/Amazon and they picked it up/sent a new one. When I got the second one, it was broken in a different place. I was more than a little irritated by this point, so I called them to complain/make arrangements for a 3rd shipment, because although irritated, this was still the bassinet I wanted because of the visual appeal. I was told I would get a 3rd shipment, but a few days later my mother-in-law was notified that they would NOT be sending a 3rd, and that she would be refunded due a more widespread problem with this particular item than they anticipated. I was extremely upset because the item was still available to purchase online (was not available to purchase in BRU stores, if so I wouldn't have even tried to have it shipped again) to anyone else, and how dare them decide for me that I wouldn't be getting another one.
The bottom line was the shipping charges to Amazon/BRU, it costs them more & more each time they ship a new one/pick up an old one. They finally agreed to send a 3rd as "an exception" and yes when I received that one it was ALSO BROKEN. Now this not only makes me wonder about the sturdiness of the craftsmanship, but also WHY DOESN'T THE MANUFACTURER PACK THIS ITEM BETTER???? I did confirm it is packed/shippped directly from Badger Basket Company, not Amazon, but there was "nothing that could be done" to change the packing method, not even labeling the box "fragile" or "handle with care". I have read a few other customer reviews that mention the same problem with the poor packing of this item. There is no foam padding, no bubble wrap, no cardboard inserts, NOTHING to protect the item. I have received dvd shipments packed more carefully than this!
At this point I wanted nothing to do with this awful product, nor would I ever purchase something by Badger Basket Company again, (also the sheets only come in white and are paper thin, I don't think I would put my baby on them).
I gladly accepted the refund for this bassinet and purchased a different one that is MUCH more functional, rated better by doctors/baby experts, and is able to roll around & move right up to my bed. The "Elegance Round Bassinet" has no wheels, is stationary and quite a bit heavier, and let's face it, a bassinet is something I plan to use for a little while then probably store in the attic (the one I ended up purchsing folds up very compactly and fits in it's own storage bag, takes up a lot less room than the round), so my second choice actually ended up being muuuuuuch better.
One more thing, the quality isn't quite as nice as it looks online, but how would anyone know since that is the only way to acquire it??)
Save yourself some time and a headache, do not get this no matter how cute you think it looks.
If I could give 0 stars I would.

Beautiful, but...
The Elegance Round Bassinet is a beautiful piece of furniture that's heirloom quality. However, it is a little difficult to assemble the base. Where you insert the shelf which also keeps the legs in place, it's easy to damage the legs. Also the instructions for assembly aren't very clear but if you think it through and keep looking at the picture of the finished product, it's not so hard to assemble.

When I laid the pieces out to assemble, one of the base legs was cracked. I called the company (Badger) and they were very nice and prompt with their response. I received the replacement piece within a few business days. The Ecru bedding set is more yellow than beige. If they sold the beddings separately, I would go for the toile pattern instead. I wish it came in red toile instead of just green.

The canopy is a bit awkward. It doesn't quite have as much coverage as in the picture on-line. The bar that holds the canopy is bent. This is done at the factory so the canopy covers more of the bassinet. However, if you don't contact the company about the bent piece, you would think it was a damaged piece. The instructions show a straight metal bar that holds up the canopy. What you receive is bent. Just be aware.

My baby will enjoy this bassinet. I will enjoy having her in this beautiful bassinet. It is definitely different from the standard oval shape with a hood. And if you sew, you can always make much nicer custom beddings than what is offered. This piece of furniture has good lines and with that you can always work something beautiful onto it.

I highly recommend this bassinet for anyone that wants to place their baby in a beautiful piece of baby furniture that can be passed on from generation to generation. It's a quality piece with good lines.

grandma
I bought this item for my daughter-in-law. This bassinet is beautiful online. When it arrived and we proceeded to put it together one of the side pieces had two left legs instead of a left leg and a right leg. We had to redrill all holes in order for it to match. Also one of the rails were broken.(poorly packaged) Also I do not like the exposed meatal screws on top railing of bassinet, very tacky looking. Canopy does not fit properly. Also sheet was thread bare, I'm afraid to wash it.

Beautiful Bassinet
I love this bassinet. It you are looking for something beautiful and unique this is the one. If you're wondering what the color Ecru is like it's darker then egg shell and lighter then tan.The bassinet itself is white and the pleating and bows are white. The color looks like an ivory wedding invitation. I hope that helps because it's hard to tell on the screen. The assembly was easy. I did it myself at 7 months pregnant. You can go online and order extra sheets at Badger's website. They only come in white. You can't find round sheets at the the store.I shopped around and this was the best price.

I did have a problem with my first order. One of the bassinet bars was broken. I contacted Amazon and they picked up the broken order and replaced it with a new one in days. I was very happy with the service. They could probably avoid shipping breakage if it was packed a little better. Everything worked out and I love this bassinet!
