User Submitted Evenflo Classic 4 oz. Glass Nurser - 6-Pack Reviews August 11, 2008 Great old-fashioned bottles I bought these bottles for storing pumped breast milk. Because they are glass, I can rest assured that they are safe for my baby. I also like the old-fashioned style. I bought the low-flow silicone nipples to use instead of the nipples that come with the bottles and never had the problems with them that some of the other reviewers have had.EVENFLO 4- Pack Silicone Slow Flow Nipples - one color, one size
August 8, 2008 Leak Leak Leak These leaked all over the place. My baby swallowed air and I would not recommend these AT ALL.
July 28, 2008 Evenflo baby bottles A friend of mine could not find glass baby bottles. I went on line and found the old fashioned EvenFlo glass bottles. Needlesss to say, my friend was extremely happy with my find. She just was not pleased with the plastic bottles for sanitary reasons. Thanks.
June 14, 2008 glass bottles I have used glass bottles for all my children. My first child is 33 years old. I don't like the plastic ones because I feel they don't come as clean as they say.
May 21, 2008 Best Ever Since, the big rave with plastic leaching out chemicals when heated; I found these 4 oz. glass nursers to be great. They are easy to wash by hand and/or you can place them in the dishwasher. I love knowing if I can make a good decision for my child(ren) for the better of their health...I will do it. Evenflo Classic Glass Nurser's is the way to go. No need to worry about chemicals leaching out from the bottle anymore.
May 8, 2008 These are ok. I bought these because I wanted to get away from BP-A and these were cheaper than the BP-A free plastic bottles. They make me feel good about that, but they have a few draw-backs. First, and most obvious, they're made of glass. That means you have to be careful with your diaper bag. Ours fell once, and the glass bottle in it instantly broke. Second, the opening is not very wide, making it difficult to get the scoop of formula into the bottle, rather than around it, especially at night, when you're already tired. Third, being glass, they are heavier than other bottles, which makes 'em more difficult to hold up for my daughter. Fourth, the nipple that comes with them is a standard flow - much faster than the other nipples that come with other bottles. In fact, I tested all the ones I have at home (avent natural, gerber, playtex ventaire, and these) and these dripped like crazy, whereas the others allow the baby to control the flow better, which means less choking, less spit-up, more actually in the mouth and down to her tummy. Oh, and since there's no vent whatsoever, the nipples flatten pretty quickly when she sucks on them, which makes it hard for her to get anymore, so you have to pull the whole thing out and reinsert for her to continue. Hope this helps.
December 27, 2007 Great alternative to plastic I was so glad to find that Amazon was carrying these bpa-free glass bottles. I want to make sure that my daughter is not exposed ot any unecessary toxins and I looked everywhere in my area for glass nursers and couldn't find them anywhere.
October 5, 2007 My son does not like the npple My son refuses to drink from this bottle. I like the idea of glass. I just which it came with a softer nipple.
September 3, 2007 Yay for glass! Interchangeabe with Medela pump bottles We feel good about using glass bottles- no chemicals from plastic or potential toxic hazards when subjecting to high heat in the dishwasher like with plastic. But I especially love that the size and shape of the bottles are just like that of the plastic ones that came with my Medela Pump in Style. I can use the glass ones instead which fit perfectly in the cooler carrier that came with the pump. Perfect size for how much my 3 month old has at a fedding (4 oz. is a feast!) and they aren't bulky in the dishwasher.
