User Submitted Evenflo Exersaucer Smartsteps Jump & Go Reviews December 26, 2008 Bouncing fun! I had this for my second son and he loved it, and now I am using it for my daughter and she is a jumping bean now!
October 12, 2008 All Jumpers I've read several of the reviews and agree children can smash fingers, bump heads, etc. My daughter loves her jumper. She's been in three different styles(our house and grandma's houses)and the evenflo is one of her favorites. I've read comments about the trays being a problem and find the trays help balance the jumber better. She's tried a jumper without a tray, which didn't work at all. In fact, she toppled forward in the bouncer. She couldn't keep her body weight upright in it because babies are top heavy, so the trays circumfernce actually is good for balancing and securing the child, not to mention more comfortable . In fact, I was just online looking to purchase this jumber for a friend. My daughter loves hers!
October 6, 2008 Loved this jumper! I purchased this jumper used and my son LOVED it...once he learned how to jump in it. I read some of the other reviews that gave it poor ratings...I mostly used the jumper in the french door opening to our bedroom so I never had a problem with him banging his head on the door frame as some of the other reviewers mentioned. I did, however, use it in single door frames and never encountered a problem either. My son is a big boy for his age, so my only regret was the short time he was able to use it. (he reached the weight limit before nine months and didn't really begin to enjoy it until he was six months old)
September 9, 2008 She loves it but... My daughter loves this jumper! I put her in it as soon as I had it together and off she went. The only thing I don't like is how difficult it is to get her in and out of it. It just about take 2 people, so we leave her in it for as long as she will tolerate it. All in all it is great it keeps her occupied and I am able to get things done around the house and keep an eye on her as well.
September 6, 2008 good for small babies We purchased these for our 8 month old twins and they enjoyed them, but it is just too hard to get them in and out of the jumper cause they are big girls! So we gave them to our friends w/ younger/smaller babies and they love them!!!
May 18, 2008 A bouncin' good time! My 8 month old loves this little bouncer, the bouncing and swinging around really get her giggling. We had a different bouncer that did not have the tray table and it was terrible, the straps would rub against her head and I was worried she was going to smash her fingers. This bouncer has both a tray table and musical play toy. The tray table keeps the straps far from her head and her hands busy with the toy giving her something to hold onto. I highly recommend this one over others.
March 20, 2008 fabulous I absolutely love this product. My son has been using this since he was about 5 months old. He's now almost 11 months, and still loves to play & jump in it. I have read some poor reviews, which surprise me. My son has never ever bumped his head, or fingers while using this product. Maybe people have used this in very narrow doorways..?? Anyway... He loves jumping, and playing with the toys & music as well. It keeps him entertained for quite a while, and never ever cries to get out of it.
December 9, 2007 Our baby adores this toy! We really like this for our 7-mont-old son. We actually are borrowing it from a friend, whose daughter is 5 months older than our son. When our guy was 5 months old, we tried him in it. He didn't mind it, he just sat in it and spun around, playing with the toys on it. He didn't quite "get it". After about 4-5 times of putting him in it, he understood the objective: to jump like crazy! Now, at 7 months, he will jump in that thing for up to an hour! When he's bored and fussy, all we have to do is put him in his Jump-and-Go, and he is ecstatic for a good long time!
The only reason I gave this 4 instead of 5 stars is because it is hard to find a spot to hang it, since we have a fairly open house, with our family room really having no door frames. We got creative and figured something out, but only because dad is very handy!
December 7, 2007 LIFESAVER!!!! This product is great - it would entertain my needs-to-be-entertained-constantly daughter for up to 30 minutes a ta time - long enough to make dinner if I hurried. I honestly don't know how I would have survived my child's infancy without this. At some points, I felt guilty that it only cost about $30.
October 31, 2007 Tons of fun for the baby Around 4 months of age my son wanted to stand more and wanted to jump everytime we hold him up. So we thought this would be a good toy for him. What a good choice this has been! Our baby just loves it. This is the only thing that keeps him occupied for more than 30 minutes - and that is a long time for this guy who cant hold his attention for more than 5 minutes on anything. He jumps and jumps and is so happy that he keeps squealing the whole time.
Just a few things that would make it better. - Should have an easier way to put babies in and take out. (I think this is a problem in all product of this kind. ) - Baby keeps moving in circles as he jumps, so top string winds itself. It would be better if the bottom part can rotate without winding the top portion. - Baby hits his head on the learning pod, so we have removed it and baby plays with it separately.
All in all, its ton of fun and definitely worth the purchase. You baby will love it!!
