Excellent Product!
These finger guards are simple to use and very effective. I highly recommend this product for anyone with a toddler or infant on the go!

GREAT
These finger guards are perfect! What I love about them is not only that they work well - but also because they are easy to remove when you want to close the door. Soft and flexible, yet they do hold well and do not fall off. When I put my 3 year old to bed at night, I move it to the doorknob side of the door, leaving the door open just a couple of inches, and move it back to the other side in the morning. When I close the door, the thing actually will sit on top of the doorknob to remind me to put it back on.
Drawback: The manufacturer's directions do state that if the door is forced shut, that it could damage your door. Because it's easier to fix/replace a door rather than fingers, I am okay with that and warned all family members about this so that they'd remember if they ever did feel themselves forcing the door shut. (It would be pretty hard to do.)

does the trick
We have a large industrial-style door leading to our basement. Keeps the door open & doesn't ruin door jambs. Fits on, doesn't fall off. And keeps our kid's fingers from getting squished. Does the trick!
