Fantastic Crib Toy
Of all the toys my son has had this has lasted the longest (he is 2 now) and it is wonderful. It is the only toy that has made the switch to his big boy bed. This toy is very relaxing too so you have to be careful watching it.

Great Soother!
My son got this for Christmas last year when he was 9 months old. He loves it!! He is now 18 months and still loves it! My daughter who is 3 also liked it so much we considered getting her one as well. One of the things I like so much about this soother is that it had the longest time setting of 18 minutes! My son learned quickly how to hit the button himself to turn it on which is nice! The music is great, the animals move, and it has nature sounds too. The blue light background is bright but my son dosent mind and if you want you can change the settings so the light is off. I highly recommend it!!

Soothes all ages
The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is because I feel there isn't enough variety of music. I am spoiled by the Ocean Wonders, but my daughter doesn't seem to mind. We originally bought this for the baby we are expecting, but then to bribe my daughter to sleep in her "big girl" bed, we told her that she could have the monkey music box if she made the switch. It worked! We attached it to the headboard so she can tap it for light or entertainment. LOVE the fact that the battery compartment is incorporated into the music box so she can bash it all she wants and the compartment won't come loose (like on our Ocean Wonders). LOVE the fact that without lights and motion music will last 18 MINUTES!! Glad we bought it! Highly recommend.

I love this
I just bought this and in not even a day my 7 week old has already figured out how to turn it on by herself. She absolutely loves it and so do I.

very entertaining
My baby loves this in his crib..he'll start crying when it turns off and counts on it when I put him in his crib...The lights are too bright for the night time..so TURN THEM OFF!what the big deal?? the baby can still enjoy sounds and music...The lights are not a reason to reduce the rating for the quality of the product. However the little monkey is starting to click but I find that soothing in a way also, its not bothersome. Overall I think its a must have.

Could be better
I've been using this for 4 months. My daughter loves it! However, it could be better. Like others have said, it's really difficult to get on and off of the crib to change the batteries. It's always a such a hassle. My biggest complaint is that it doesn't run long enough. She likes the lights, movement and sound and cries when it turns off. If they can't make them run longer, a remote would be good!

Squeaks!!
While my son loves this soother, when you switch it to the movement selection it makes a terrible crickety squealing squeak that continues as long as it's going. It only did it a little at first and I just didn't switch it to that, but now he moves the switches himself and wakes himself up with the noise. Called FP and they said they'd replace it, that it was an earlier one (2007) and the new one shouldn't do it.

My son loves the songs and the lights show. When I turn it on for him, he will stare at it until he sleeps.

Perfect in every way except...
I ordered two of these while I was pregnant with twin boys. It came with batteries that actually worked for several months. My sons LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this soother!
Imagine my dismay when I finally had to change the batteries to find that one of them had movement and light, but no sound! I called the help desk who said they couldn't help me, I had to call the Germany help desk where no one spoke English. They told me I had to mail in the soother for them to repair it. I plan to do that this week sometime.
In the meantime, I've had to see a very disappointed 4 month old little boy. Every time my son gets into his bed he's looking around for his soother. So for the last few weeks I've let them bunk together.
Other than that, this is a great addition to any nursery.
