User Submitted Gate Check Umbrella Stroller Bag Reviews September 18, 2008 Umbrella stroller gate check bag Great gate check bag. Easy to get the stroller into. It opens plenty wide enough. Adds no extra weight to carry down the ramp. I would especially recommend this for anyone who uses a light-colored stroller.
September 13, 2008 saves your stroller from getting torn and dirty Just used this for a flight and was happy to see that even after being tossed around in the luggage area of the plane my stroller was not dirty or torn thanks to this bag. The bag itself however did get quite dirty and had a few small tears. It is not a very durable bag as other reviewers have said - but it did the trick. Would it stand up to use for multiple trips - probably not.
July 17, 2008 A must for travelling family Great product! Keeps baby umbrella stroller clean and protected at gate checks. Let's you spot your stroller right away. Folds into a samall zippered pouch that fits anywere. I use it with my Graco IPO umbrella stroller.
Warning: this is only for umbrella type foldable strollers.
July 13, 2008 works well I've used this one with my McLaren Triumph and it was no problem to get the stroller in and out as I had read in other reviews. It's a really good idea to keep dirty/scuffs off the stroller when you gate check them. I plan to use it more.
June 5, 2008 Good idea but .... I bought this cover for my chicco stroller. It is very easy to use and great to fold; however, tears appeared after the first 5 flights. I need a new one or I have to find something stronger.
April 20, 2008 It's okay for the price I purchased two of these bags for a trip. I bought one for my chicco umbrella stroller and another for my pack n play. My pack n play comes with a bag as most do now but I wanted the added protection. Anway...they survived but I'm not sure how many more trips I will be able to use them for as the seams have ripped in a few areas. When I checked our bags i had the fragile tags put on them as well. They do fold up nicely in the little bag attached. Depending on how much you travel you may want to invest in something a little more durable but if it's a once a year trip you'll probably be fine.
April 5, 2008 Good investment This bag protected my Zooper Twist stroller with no problems at all. We just returned from vacation, each way had a layover, so four flights total so far and no tears or holes. Amazingly, the bag still looks new! It slips right over the stroller when folded up, and comes out just as easy. It was a good investment since we bought a pricey stroller!
March 2, 2008 stroller bag cover for air travel We used this bag to cover our lightweight chico stroller & used it at gate check-in. Its not the most durable bag but it did the job. I wouldn't recommend using this bag for baggage check the material can tear. There was extra room to spare in the bag. Get it, its worth the money to protect your stroller while traveling.
January 19, 2008 Good Idea But Tears Easily This is a great idea, as these bags fold up nicely into a small, zippered pouch for storage in your carry on luggage while not on the plane. It definitely protected our stroller and baby seat (with the other gate check bag for baby seats) from getting dirty in the cargo hold. The downside is that the fabric tears very easily, and both of our bags got several tears in them after 3 or 4 flights.
January 15, 2008 good stroller protection this bag was a great purchase for our flight to visit the grandparents. unlike the first time we travelled without a bag for our stroller, i wasn't worried about the gate check handlers damaging our stroller or losing any parts to it. also, it was very easy to find after we came off of the plane. (only one other person had the same bag, but wrote their last name in big letters in permanent marker on the bag.) a solid investment for anyone with a stroller who plans to do some travelling.
