User Submitted Graco imonitor Vibe 2 Parent Reviews November 13, 2008 Great monitor...good vibrations. This monitor has worked really well for us. We keep one parent unit downstairs and one in our bedroom upstairs and they are on all the time and charging on the bases. The vibration feature is ok but not as necessary. The sound is amazing and both parent units hold their charge (unlike the other reviews). We use this monitor with the Bebe sounds video monitor so we can see and hear the baby. (The bebe sounds monitor has a great picture but serious static. We turn the volume off on the Bebe sounds monitor and listen with the Graco.)
October 28, 2008 Poor design This product is poorly designed. The DC outlet to plug this device into the outlet is too low on the baby monitor. When it sits on the table the cord itself hits the table, since it sits lower than the monitor itself. This make the connection come lose and soon we have a loud beep beep telling me the battery is low. It is surely annoying and I am mad I spend so much on this product.
October 7, 2008 good monitor We initially ordered the monitor because of the vibration feature which we thought would be nice. In actuality if it's clipped to your waistband it can be difficult to feel the vibration at all. It's better if you just stick the receiver in your pocket.
The clarity of sound is good, and we haven't noticed any interference from other electronics or phones. The battery life is decent and with two receivers you can always have one fully charged.
If we had to do it again, I'm not sure we would pay the extra for the vibration feature, but otherwise we are very happy with this monitor.
October 1, 2008 Returning mine today Tons of static that kept me up at night. Terrible range. Kept turning off and on. I had no faith it would be working when my baby started crying. I would not recommend this product to anyone.
September 18, 2008 2000 ft range? no way and won't hold a charge We bought this monitor 2-m ago specifically because of the range it claimed to have. I can't even take a parent unit into the kitchen( 4 rooms away from nursery on same floor) without loosing reception let alone out into the yard. It has lots of static and is constantly searching for the signal. I spend 90% of nap time relocating the parent unit wherever I am working to try and keep it functioning. AND depsite charging as directed in instructions I get 1 hour of use tops out of either parent unit before it starts beeping a low battery signal. Very dissapointed.
August 8, 2008 Easy to use but short range I purchased this products a couple of weeks back. It's easy to use and the vibration feature is nice. The range is supposed to be up to 2000 fet while in my own house it doesn't even exceed 35 feet. If the monitor is in my baby's room, I cannot even take the parent unit into the garden. Another downside is that the adapters to charge the units support one voltage only 110 volts. I'm living in The Netherlands in Europe so I had to use different chargers. But if you purchase this in the US and ever want to travel to Europe, don't use a plug adapter because you will brake the adapters if you do. Luckilly the old Nokia chargers exactly match the output voltage and polarity so I use them.
July 30, 2008 Great monitor I've had this monitor for several months now. At first I wasn't too sure how well it would work, but now I'm very happy with it. It's easy to keep the receiver in the cradle while it's charging, and then pick it up to take with me to another part of our home. The vibrator is handy if you don't want to make noise or if you're listening to your mp3. You do have to turn off the receiver if you turn off the main unit because the receiver will beep until it 'finds' the signal. I gave it 4 stars because sometimes there is static, though that may be because we live in an apartment.
June 23, 2008 Great buy, could have less interference We bought this graco monitor as a replacement for our useless fisher price monitor (we used the fp monitor once and then put it away for a month when we needed it again the receiver was dead) and the difference is something big. PROS: 1.- Auto Channel selector: Great feature just turn it on an it will set automatically the channel on both receivers, if you feel it has lots of interference just press "ch" button and presto! 2.- Vibe function: good but nothing i couln'd live without. It's too sensible, almost any noise will activate it. CONS: THE channel button: It should be on the parent receiver and NOT on the baby's transmitter, Here is how it goes, imagine yourself sleeping, and the monitor begins to sound with static are you going to go to baby's room and to try to change the channel at the risk of waking up your baby? so the channel button should be with the parent unit! (HEy the baby is not going to change the channel)
June 14, 2008 Baby Monitor review It came very quickly and was just as described. I bought this for a baby shower gift so I did not personally use it.
April 30, 2008 Product No Good This monitor was awful. All I got was static, no matter how high or low the volume was. I couldn't hear my baby over the static, and I couldn't even use this for 1 night because it was so annoying.
